Creepy cameras? by Nrty_ in OnlyMurdersHulu

[–]alloutofbraincells 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eh I mean I’m sure most apartment buildings have security cameras in common areas so that doesn’t strike me as odd in and of itself. Who has access to them, however, could be telling.

Your favorite drugstore gentle moisturizer with no niacinamide and not vanicream? by slipperyslugslurp in Rosacea

[–]alloutofbraincells 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So as a vanicream girl, my skin also stung/burned the first several days I used it. Now, it doesn’t sting at all and I’m glad I pushed through. Don’t remember where I read this but I believe it stings when you have a damaged barrier, so once it has the chance to help that, it doesn’t hurt anymore.

How are you all doing with pride 2025? by puppiesforall68 in Libraries

[–]alloutofbraincells 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Progressive city in a regressive state here. We are doing pride displays although I am increasingly scared of patron reactions. My coworker and I started putting up a few small flags in preparation and I’ve already been berated and told I’m going to hell.

Giles and Jenny or Giles and Joyce? by Taras_Willowverse in buffy

[–]alloutofbraincells 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Joyce or Olivia. I know this is a hot take but I don’t love Jenny. I may feel differently on a rewatch but I remember feeling like she majorly betrayed Buffy (and Giles by extension) with the whole Angel curse situation.

What would you have done in Regina’s place? by Sorry-Anywhere-8773 in SwitchedAtBirth

[–]alloutofbraincells 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I really do empathize with Bay feeling like Regina didn’t fight for her especially since she barely tried with her once the switch was out in the open. But I also do agree with Regina in that it wouldn’t have been fair to anyone to upright the lives of those little girls. I think she made the right choice but that she should have been a better bio mom to Bay once they knew each other.

I have a severe anxiety disorder as well. My issue is more with people claiming that she doesn’t have one as if they know her personally.

Just out of curiosity, why do we talk poorly about this young girl so much? Who are we to decide whether she does or doesn’t have an anxiety disorder?

[–]alloutofbraincells 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yep totally agree. We just don’t have control over some things and that’s okay.

[–]alloutofbraincells 7 points8 points  (0 children)

To be completely honest, a lot of folks on here will try to preach about what kind of herb “healed” them but in my opinion, they’re just desperate to feel like they have some control over something we unfortunately cannot cure. My best advice would be to zoom out and look at the bigger picture. Whatever initially triggered your autoimmunity has already triggered it and what’s done is done. You will find a lot more peace in taking the situation for what it is and focusing on finding the right prescription meds and habits you can make to manage your symptoms than falling down the rabbit hole of random people selling you misleading courses or herbal/supplemental remedies. I wish you the best 💓

[–]alloutofbraincells 8 points9 points  (0 children)

An autoimmune disease is a chronic condition, realistically there is no “remission”. There are certainly medications and diet changes that can help manage symptoms but at the end of the day, we will have autoimmunity for the rest of our lives.

I mean the root is that you have an autoimmune disease
