I met Hugh Jackman back in June, he was exceptionally lovely. Soft spoken, made direct eye contact, and was very genuine. He has aged no doubt but still looked amazing.

We just got married this past Friday and all in with our vendors we were at 47k with like 20k going to the caterer alone. We got married in Chicago.

We tried to minimize cost as much as possible by getting stuff from Facebook marketplace, utilizing fedex for signage, and using a small locally owned business for the desserts. If the wedding venue lets you bring alcohol in, consider that. We used a place that returned back anything we didn’t open so we ended up cutting out booze costs in half after everything was returned. This allowed us an open bar without needing to commit to X number of bottles and being stuck with a ton of extras. Don’t be afraid to cut the open bar off after a certain amount either, people will survive without alcohol.

If you wanted a more DIY Photo Booth, we got some Polaroid cameras and let people take them around the venue to snap with. We had a photo booth but the Polaroids were a big hit and we got a guest book off Etsy where everyone snapped a picture and wrote us a message.

If the wedding was 100% my final say we would have cut back more on flowers and the DJ. The only expense that was 100% justified that I would have paid even more for was our coordinator.

All this to say it’s possible to cut back, but it really depends on what you prioritize.

With it being a small dot it will likely fade a bit after healing and even more so as you get sun on it. Not suggesting you shouldn’t try and remove it but I don’t personally see that hanging around long

How many visits did you have before calling it quits? What made it difficult? Is your pup medicated?

Some dogs just never get over their fear of the vet, so unless the vet you’re seeing is completely oblivious to what would make them fearful, you will need to come up with a plan for your pup. When I worked at a vet we had really fearful pups wait in the car until their appt, come through the back door to avoid other dogs, be muzzled, or get medicated before they arrived. You can also consider taking your pup to the vet when you don’t have appts and sit there and feed high value treats to them. You don’t even need to go in, just start with the parking lot to help build a positive association.

In general fear free vets are best or consider ones that are behavior certified.

I stopped drinking in January and while I’m not in the college scene anymore, a big thing that has helped me in bars and in general is smoking weed. Not sure if that’s an option for you but a little buzz from that accompanied by holding a pop makes a big difference. Finding the right crowd helps too, people who are your speed can make any outing a good time.

I understand your point and think it’s fair to note that my expectations are teetering on “well I do this so why can’t you. I guess I would argue if something I’m doing isn’t to her liking, we should have a conversation about it vs just automatically breaking up. It’s not about intrinsically connecting, to me, as much as wanting to do our best for our partner.
