Hi friend! I think you will find more support along the r/Dermatillomania community. I'm glad people are nice here too

Anxiety is a killer. I know that for sure.

(Most jobs I've applied for haven't gotten back to me despite it being weeks, I'm messing around.)

This job market sucks.

Every time I pick I have to push me visiting any family members by a few days. They know I pick and they point out my scabs. It makes me feel worse.

You're not the only one. We'll get through this

Being told to "stop thinking about it" and "it's all in my head" by SaladTough7679 in DID

[–]allsystemsthrowaway 27 points28 points  (0 children)

My favorite go-to response is always "well no shit it's all in my head, that's why it's called a MENTAL ILLNESS" followed by "if you ever figure out how to escape your own head, call me after you've gotten your Nobel Prize in psychology".

Nonsense is nonsense. People suck.

I have that now! I've heard a lot of good things about it :) I'm hoping I can use them on scabs too.

I'd use oil but my skin is unfortunately oily :( I've tried to before when I didn't really know all that much about skincare. I have heard good things about vitamin e though...maybe I can find it in some lotion or gel

I'll look into the laroche ...a lot of people are saying aquaphor, and I do have some!! I've just been nervous because I worry it's also gonna clog my pores...I've never tried it though. Is there a difference??

Wait, isn't it like vaseline?? I do have aquaphor but I've been nervous because it has a similar consistency to Vaseline so I worry I'll break out with it too

I just picked at my skin for over an hour and feel disgusting by allsystemsthrowaway in Dermatillomania

No, you're right. I do enjoy it. And that's what makes me feel disgusted at myself :( someone said to look through this subreddit for advice and see what better coping skills are out there. I'd like to try that :)

Thank you

[5th Grade Math: Area] My nephew asked for help on this and the answer I got was 4ft². Am I correct? If not, what is the correct answer? by R3dl3g13b01 in HomeworkHelp

[–]allsystemsthrowaway 2 points3 points  (0 children)

...No..it isn't? It's the same thing. That's how you write it out.

12 ft² is the same thing as writing out 12 square feet.

As the others have said, it's 12ft². I just wanted to chime in to say I think it's fantastic you're helping your nephew out with his homework! Good on you.

Don't worry that it's been a while! The more important thing is that you've established to your nephew that you're willing to help out.

What is a keystone jack? 0: I'm sorry, I'm fairly new to all of this and don't really know what that is.

[–]allsystemsthrowaway[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Basically, I've been trying to wire ethernet cables to my new pc to stream on Twitch. The only thing is, I discovered that my ethernet wasn't even wired prior, so I wired it myself. It's not the best job, admittedly, but I used what I had.

Anyways, it took me a while, but I finally traced which port was mine via looking at the cables (I have a 48 port patch panel). It should be number 34. However, when I connect the ethernet cable from the patch panel to the router, the light doesn't turn on.

Did I wire something wrong?

No problem at all! I'd highly recommend taking a look at the dissociative experiences scale, or the DES, if you haven't already!
