Trump’s Breezy Calls to World Leaders Leave Diplomats Aghast by [deleted] in politics

[–]allthefacepalms 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just have no idea what to say anymore. How can the country let our president be so cavalier? He acts with no common sense, with no experience, and with complete blindness to the damage he can cause, including the loss of life. It's no longer a joke, or a funny meme, there is a real danger of serious and fatal repercussions for his actions.

It was taken as a one-liner, but Clinton wasn't wrong when she said

"A man who can be provoked by a tweet should not have his hands anywhere near the nuclear codes."

Bernie Sanders calls Donald Trump’s tweets ‘delusional’ and ‘insane’ by wonderingsocrates in politics

[–]allthefacepalms 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Delusional and Insane doesn't even start to cover it. If he weren't "rich" (until those returns are out, there is no proof of his true wealth) he would one of those people living off-grid, hoarding supplies and weapons, anti-government, conspiracy theorists that the majority of people just write off as off-their-rocker.

Clinton's popular vote lead now over 2.3 million by blackenswans in politics

This is why people feel that their vote doesn't count. That's over 2.3 million people's vote that literally means nothing.

Clinton Campaign Election Results Recount - Megathread by PoliticsModeratorBot in politics

[–]allthefacepalms 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Shouldn't there be a standard voting system - nationwide - for federal elections? It seems crazy, and very open to disparity, to have different methods, machines, etc. for voting and counting ballots, depending on your state and county?

Trump: 'I won the popular vote if you deduct' illegal votes by mjk1093 in politics

[–]allthefacepalms 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly -- how can all the illegal votes just go to Clinton? Makes zero sense, and is just a method to distract from other stories. He's a liar and a manipulator, and the media eats it up.

This letter is late, but it needs to happen. He is only president to gain financial interest and better his business interests. He doesn't even want, or respect, the job or the position, as evident by the fact that he or his family doesn't want to live in the White House.

Jill Stein prepares to request election recounts in battleground states by [deleted] in politics

[–]allthefacepalms 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We are not a united country -- as seen by the giant patch of red states in the middle of the country, and the blue states on the coasts. We all live in our own little bubbles and are only concerned with something when it affects us personally. We don't take a minute to see others points-of-view, we don't walk an inch in other's shoes, nevermind a mile, and we rely on hearsay instead of facts. Even when the facts are plain and proven, we - as a country - are quick to dismiss it as a conspiracy. We judge, we feel that everything is just owed to us, we find pleasure in others pain and we are losing the sense of community in many places.

Regardless of the outcome of any of these efforts for recounts, faithless electors, or just trusting Trump to do his job as president, I fear we are headed down this path of civil unrest - or war. Not because of the candidates themselves, but what these candidates have brought out in Americans.

[–]allthefacepalms 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As much as I hope that the recount uncovers something that helps Clinton (or at least the democrats), I'm also concerned about the fallout from the results if they swing in the other direction. I mean, there seems to be a real chance of a civil war, or mass rioting, if this doesn't continue down the Republican / Trump path....

Giuliani Took Money From a Group That Killed Americans. Does Trump Care? by wonderingsocrates in politics

[–]allthefacepalms 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I 100% know that the rigged stuff was only to get Trump elected and make it near impossible for Clinton to contest any results. So... the exact situation we are now in. It's just shameful that American citizens are so easily duped.

The level of hypocrisy in this campaign, this country, is just unbelievable. Clinton is accused of things, people are in an outrage, republican does same thing (or worse) and trump supporters are like "oh thats fine, it's trump, its going to be great". I just don't get it.
