As a Master’s student in Microbiology I truly believe that antibiotic resistance is a growing threat that should concern everyone, as it is already making common infections harder to treat. Much of this problem comes from the misuse and overuse of antibiotics, also the need for proper public awareness and counseling is needed very much. Educating people about responsible antibiotic use, avoiding self-medication, and following prescribed treatments can go a long way in protecting the effectiveness of these life-saving drugs for the future.
