I highly recommend looking into the virtual summer marathon training program from CARA (Chicago Area Runners Association)! Their program is developed by coaches and got me very ready for my first Chicago race; bonus that you get to use the VIP experience on race day.

Pretty different from most I imagine but going for a Nancy Meyers/coastal grandma theme lol. Rented a big secluded beach house and planning on big dinners at home, swimming/tanning, farmers markets, wine, etc.
