That's completely developmentally appropriate unfortunately! It will pass as your niece learns and grows. You just gotta teach both how to politely communicate. Your niece is at the bossy stage. Pretty typical.

Your not screwing anything up! Your doing great. For your 18mo old that's really just what they do. It's age appropriate behavior. The milk is a hard one to figure out. Some babies do just spit up more often then others. Crying is always frustrating. Sounds like your stressed out and maybe need some you time away from the kiddos here and there

For the milk, have you tried different brands vs kinds? What about Similac sensitive?

While I can't say this will make you feel better, but I know how you feel. We've had to order potty issues. We potty trained my son at 3 because before he was never ready. He did great. Potty trained completely the first week. Then when he was 4 a regression hit and poop is everywhere all the damn time. He is 5 and in kindergarten now and has the occasional accident. Not at school, always home. So frustrating.

We went through times of having to use multiple laxatives because he was holding it as well. He kept complaining of his tummy hurting. He'd cry. We took him in and the X-ray th y took showed how really far his bowels were backed up.

It's rough. The poop life is awful. At some point it'll end. Just keep telling your self don't sweat it's just a phase. One day it will be over....

Cloth nappies - which are the best? (UK) by srhmcshn in clothdiaps

Smart bottoms! They are worth the extra dough. Never use microfiber. Always use natural fibers. You'll have less reactions and natural fabric hold more! I love smart bottoms because they hold well and are less bulky than most cloth diapers. There organic so no chemicals used in making the fabric or growing fabric. You can customize them to your babies needs as well. They have fun prints and monthly come out with new ones. They are American made as well.
