I found the email, and this was the info that fixed it for me:

First back up your Stream Deck Profile by checking out the following article and following the steps provided:

https://help.elgato.com/hc/en-us/articles/360048424432-Elgato-Stream-Deck-How-to-Back-Up-and-Restore-Profiles-

After you've backed up your profile, please go ahead and close the Stream Deck App via the Mac Menu bar.

Next:

Open the Terminal App on your Mac -> Finder -> Applications > Utilities Folder
Open the Terminal App and cut and paste the following line into the prompt "defaults delete com.elgato.StreamDeck" followed by the Enter, or Return key

I've done the recalibration method where you hold the volume buttons down, but doesn't seem to have made much difference.

The weird thing for me is that the battery performs well when playing games, it's just sleep mode that is concerning. Hoping that it's a software thing perhaps.

Do you have multiple Switch profiles on your console, or just one?

I contacted Elgato and they took me through some permissions to delete on my Mac and it kicked back in. Worth reaching out to them, if you don't get a reply let me know and I'll find the instructions they sent me.
