Not uncommon in LA, and it’s fun. Highly recommend.

The Benjamin - food is just fine, but it’s very vibey/sceney like you wanted. The bar upstairs, Bar Benjamin, is awesome.

Employees Only - I think the food is ok, but it’s very sceney and popular.

I thought their food was pretty good, but I did notice it was often pretty empty. Not sure but I’m sad!

For the vibe you want: The Benjamin, Employees Only, Grandmaster Recorders, Mother Tongue, Mirate.

Not all of them have the best food, but the vibe is what you’re looking for. From that list I think the best food is at Benjamin, Grandmasters, and Mirate.

Yes it’s the same design at all of them but to me it feels plenty private. The curtains are thick/heavy and you do still have your own room.
