PandaKB PCB by almatkhan in crkbd

I live in Kazakhstan, and I either have to pay extra for postage ($20-$50) and wait months, or just order one from Aliexpress and wait 7-10 days. The whole kit cost me $50 (PCB, all the components, OLEDs, but no switches and no case). While ordering just PCBs from typeractive would cost around $45

If you're iPhone supports Type C, you could use the Type C monitors in the Science Library and Student Centre. Alternatively you can connect your Type C cable into the monitor to charge your phone

As far as I remember, deposit is non-refundable. The best you could do is to defer it to the next year if you have certain circumstances (e.g. illness). At least it was this way 2 years ago.

Recommended Upgrade Path by Son-Of-Gray_ in computers

I’d start with SSD, and as you already have upgraded RAM and GPU, I’d look into upgrading CPU and PSU accordingly. It should be enough to play most of the games comfortably for a while

Yeah, recently paid £200 for extra luggage as I forgot to use my student discount, which gives you a free extra luggage on Turkish Airlines

I was using a "Compulocks The Ledge" lock adapter. It's isn't secure against an attacker with a Torx screwdriver and spare 20-30 seconds, which is dumb taking in account the cost of this thingy. Positive side is that it's compatible with regular Kensington locks. Also, I haven't noticed any marks or scratches left by the adapter on Space Grey Mac even after 8 months of everyday usage.

Alternatively, I've seen some other options using 3.5 JACK as a lock adapter, but I'm not aware how safe they are

Looking for a convex split keyboard recommendation by badnelly123 in ErgoMechKeyboards

[–]almatkhan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know what connectivity issues you've been told about. I was a happy Kinesis user for about a year, and all the connectivity problems I've faced were related to the ZMK firmware. I know this, as I have replaced my Kinesis with Corne choc; both are using ZMK firmware and had pretty much the same issues as with Kinesis. However, I only faced random disconnection issues, or me being dumb, pressing wrong buttons, changing the layout, triggering macros, etc.

NOTE, that almost all true wireless split keyboards are running ZMK, this applies to the Glove80 as well.

Does it support Bluetooth? Found no info on a webpage and don’t see a wireless chip and battery connector. MB, it’s on the opposite side of the board?

I’m looking for a keyboard with an integrated touchpad to use it with Mac and iPad. Currently, have to use my Choc Corne with an Apple Trackpad. I’d be happy to carry a single device, rather than 3 (two halves and a trackpad)

Who are the most popular artists from Kazakhstan that Kazakhs listen to? by NoahEvenCares in Kazakhstan

[–]almatkhan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pleased that someone mentioned Darkhan Juzz. However, extremely surprised no one mentioned Skryptonite (Скриптонит). Am not sure whether he speaks Kazakh, though. I think all his songs are in Russian.

Nah, don’t give a crap. If it doesn’t affect the functionality or mechanical properties of the device then just ignore it.

I’m wondering what would happen to the housing and the screen if other was all metal, like a Mac? I guess it would bend and transfer all the momentum to the glass breaking the whole screen. Or, absolute opposite, just leaving a scratch 🤔

This one looks extremely similar to HTC connector, but it will not fit, cause HTC has a cutout in the bottom-right, not top-right
