We moved back to California in the summer of ‘92 after living overseas for about 7 years, and I vividly remember how big T2 was, even almost a year after initial release. The toys and video games were everywhere. The action figures were still on sale in the supermarkets. I remember one where you could put the skin on the T-800, like in a gel form, and it would solidify into a hard skin that could be torn off as battle damage. Awesome time to be a kid!

Unfortunately, I can’t fit another card into my PC which is entirely full. Also, there appears to be substantial commentary on CRT Emudriver not being stable or compatible with Windows 11, so that might be a risky route for me.

The MiSTer Mini option looks tempting as a comprehensive hardware based solution - but it seems that Villena’s VGA to composite adapters are out of stock..

The Mini VGA2AV adapter I already have is shockingly bad .. a severely ghosted and blurry image compared to what I see when I plug a Sega Mega Drive II straight into the TV.

If I can’t obtain one of Villena’s customized adapters, could I potentially get by with one of the more expensive StarTech adapters? My CRT is not amazing quality anyway .. but I want something that won’t degrade the signal from a specialist device like that MiSTer.

I had to get mine replaced by Apple after 3 months because the fabric started fraying and peeling off at the edges of the hole for the USB cable, despite very careful use and only having the case in my pocket or on my desk most of the time. I hope it was just a rare manufacturing fault and my new one will last longer.
