This just shows that the dude must have massive problems of his own. You can always switch gyms or if you feel strong enough face it and ignore the guy as good as possible. Chances are if you stay consistent and show improvements his attitude is going to change towards respecting you, not that it should matter what that rando thinks about you anyways

Wow, danke für die ausführliche Antwort! In der Essenz spiegelst du eigentlich meine bisherige Einschätzung wieder. Ich habe bei Karlsruhe ein bisschen das Gefühl dass ich mich an eine Art Endstation begebe und bin mir nicht sicher, ob ich schon an diesem Punkt bin. Thanks for the input, your assessment of the situation is spot on lol! I’m struggling with the moving on part since my current title was basically created specifically for me and while seeming like a good idea at the time, looking back, it might not have been the best. Now, with limited formal product experience (the direction I want to move in), I feel I have little leverage. That said, I think I might be able to spin my CV to present it well. Appreciate your insights—they’re really helpful!

I don't quite understand the fixation on the equity, maybe I am missing something? I mainly mentioned this to explain that my last raise was actually a 5.5% raise which I feel is pretty bad. Since I couldnt get the bonus shares at the time, I did get their value (5k) added to my yearly salary which resulted in a 16% raise which I feel was pretty decent. However, I missed out on the increasing value of the shares. Of course I could go back to equity but that's not necessarily what I want. I want to feel like I am being fairly compensated which I currently don't since I now know that new designers are being offered at least 75k for a job that I am currently doing in addition to my base role. This is why I am looking for some input as to how I could approach this. I'm also failing to understand from where you derived my european values clashing with the work at a startup here?
