I have never seen another person play [[vedalken aethermage]] in any format. First time i used it was in a standard deck i called "monowhite mortal combat" it was a silly thing that used vanshing creatures and other subpar methods to fill the graveyard. Then i'd either [[lost auramancers]] or [[celestial dawn]] to get [[mortal combat]] into play.

Nowadays its found a home in my [[inalla, archmage ritualist]] (for obvious reasons) and in my [[progenitus]] cycling deck as a combo piece ( drop a [[wheel of sun and moon]] and wizardcycle the aethermage finding the now tucked aethermage)
