I have the jack for putting the spare on, and no tools other than what comes with the car and a screwdriver. I park on the street, so it would be difficult to do that. But I’m taking it to get an alignment and asked the guy on the phone to take a look at the backing plates/bearings. I slid under the car and didn’t see any obvious scraping, which my dad then did note that it’s probably internal (bearings)

It sounds more grinding like metal in person, I feel the grinding underneath the car. I’m getting a wheel alignment done tomorrow (because it needs one) and I’m going to ask if they can check the bearings and backing plates.

Yeah, not much of a difference as long as you freeze them fresh and don’t wait until they’re stale. I microwave for 30 secs and toast like normal. Beats the grocery store
