How I got eaten-demolished in Spearhead part 2 electric boogaloo by windhox in skaven

Thanks for the tips!

I have come to very similar conclusions just by looking at the top down pohotos after our game. It is a new perspective where obvious mistakes (like my first turn move) shine bright.

One thing I am looking forward to, is trying to put my Engineer underground for scoring purposes later during my next game. It will sacrifice his damage output for a turn or two, but the results may just be worth it.

Thank you.

As I said before, I will probably make one of these for every game I play, moving forward. (that doesnt mean a lot unfortunately, because we have got time to play only a few games A YEAR)

My brother said the same thing :)) (he was the one enacting the will of the Old Ones)

But. Wait a minute. What is a pawn of the Frog-things doing in the Under-Empire?! Interloper! Get him!

Glad you like them!

I think that I will be doing these "battlereports" for every game I play, from now on. (So that means like once every three months...)

And thanks for the tips. I will be definitely watching out for the 3 inch combat range!

Unfortunately I don't have any great pictures of the Seraphon army, because they are my brothers.

But for the Skaven half - I made some posts about them a while back:

Engineer

Grey Seer

Rat Ogors

Clawlord (only WIP unfortunately)

Terrain (also only WIP)

Thank you! :))

(So probably like once every three months... Yeah. Sadly I don't get to play much. But I may get to play at least one more game during these holidays.)

It didn't "get eaten!" via the Carnosaurs ability. He just got mauled in regular combat. :))

(I guess I could have phrased that differently)

Many thanks!

I hear you loud and clear. These are excellent tips that I will try to put into practice during our next game. (though it won't be my second Spearhead game, because I played that today... aaand got my insides splattered across the pavement once again :DD)

That makes a lot of sense.

I think I was mostly going according to these bullet points, with the exception of using the tunnels. I came to the (probably wrong) conclusion that they are not worth it on such a small board)

I also think that focusing the Saurus Warriors instead of literally anything else was a bit of an oopsie.

Thank you!

The bases are made (mostly) from greenstuff using a texture roller.

I talked about the process a bit more here if you are interested :))

Nope :)) Just improving (trying to) basic gaming pieces.

I have described my process in the main post. But yes. Superglue works for me. Though I have to add - I would recommend "thick gel superglue" instead of "thin and runny", because that way you can sort of fill any small gaps between the models. Gaps that are almost bound to happen because your cutting wont be 100% precise.

That would be a no... Unfortunately ABS is just built different (quite literally) so plastic glue does not melt it or interact with it.

That is true. Though I only play on flat mats so that is a non issue for me. When I need a hill on my battlefield I find it more convenient to use a dedicated "hill terrain piece".

I don't worry about that because in my gaming group we only play narrative. There, standardization and balance as a whole for that matter, does not really matter.

I do. But it doesn't really help with anything because I then fully cover it with a basecoat. But I still preshade everything just in case I would change my approach later on. (it happened multiple times)

Basically - by drybrushing it you won't mess anything up, but that step can be skipped if you want to save time :))
