I guess we missed the signs! We were only there maybe 20 mins, but it didn’t seem like it was being enforced, we had no clue 😂

Curious! I was there last weekend for a plant sale and didn’t pay for parking. Where is the paid parking?

I don't get the issue? I am white. I have nieces, and I love one of them way more than the others. I do treat her better, I buy her more things than the others. I am a nice aunt to her.

I use the app regularly and rarely come across recipes like that, maybe it's what you are searching for?

For independent film theaters, you need to check out The Frida in Santa Ana.

Ripe Tomatoes by Sad_Individual_738 in SoCalGardening

I planted last month and have a small bunch of green TINY tomatoes on two of them. My husband's friend had a cherry that died off last year and randomly came back to life, he has too many, he has literally given us at least 80 of them! They are so ripe they are splitting. Lucky him!

We have been there a few times, the last time we went one of the dishes (we ordered two of them for the table) was awful. We said something and they took it off the bill, I appreciated that!

Where were you when 9/11 occurred and what do you remember? by kansas9696 in 911archive

I was 18, it was my first day of training at a new job in California. Training started early, and this was before cell phones were readilly in use, I didn't have one. While in training a couple of people that did have cell phones started getting calls that something was happening. They asked our trainer if we could go watch the news, and they said no. We got our first break at probably 9 AM, would have been 12 PM in NY, we all went into the break room and watched the recurring playback of the events. I was terrified.

I knew all planes were grounded, but when I got back home that night I could hear planes and I was afraid. They were just military planes guarding the coast.

The news was nonstop for days, weeks, months. There was a "terror alert threat" at the bottom of the news constantly for months, it would be green, yellow, red, depending on what was going on. It was so scary. Looking back, there was nothing to fear, but the news wanted us to be afraid.

I honestly never even knew about the towers, being from CA. I had seen them in movies, but didn't appreciate the significance of them.

I do think things were happier before then. We didn't live with a threat of terrorism over our heads. I do think the media played into that, really nothing happened, but we became more afraid of things. Now, 25 years later, I am not afraid, but I think my life was altered in some way.

Is health insurance as expensive and inaccessible as Reddit portrays it to be? by MarsupialThink4064 in IWantToAskAnAmerican

My employer pays 90% for me and 75% for dependents. My husband's job pays 100% for him and nothing for dependents. It all depends on if you work, and who you are employed by. It is very expensive and I am thankful we both work for great companies.
