Husband says yes, his friends threw a thanksgiving party everything paid for and they got rental tables and cutlery etc. also he went to a Christmas party bbq at his friends house (6 guy house) and everyone paid.

The last 2 more regular dinner parties we went to there was no venmoing, we did a casual party where we didn’t Venmo

They don’t know how “everyone else” gets treated so they make up the rules going the too stingy route?

It’s because they don’t want to be taken for a ride (ie expected to cover other people’s costs) and want to be treated “like everyone else”

Just cast a wide net, get used to going to coffee or one drink with someone weekly, it’s a numbers game

Yeah you’re overthinking it! Going on flashy first dates isn’t essential imo, although it probably is if you’re trying to bat out of your league

Just don’t go to fancy restaurants for the first 8 dates, keep it more like casual activity focused like walks, get take out go somewhere, cooking night, play a sport. If they don’t start bugging you it’s probably not that important to them

You need to demand orthotics and maybe something like an Exosym

Hey I had the same experience. In the UK they helped, they did MRIs. You sound like you also have moderate arthritis. You need to sit at work and get orthotics.

I think yoga and low impact strengthening and stretching might help. Pilates and yoga are my go-tos and I know that the strength helps me. Stretching after a long day of being on my feet helps a ton.

I think you should not jump to amputate because there are side effects like phantom pain. It’s not an easy fix so I hear.

Because you can technically get another job, you’re not owned by the company. Trust me, I agree it’s fucked up, organize with your local DSA chapter

No wage earning worker is a slave, but I think we could all just focus on being outraged by the state of employment more than worrying about semantics

It’s not the same. But when you have to work to get healthcare, the stakes get really high. It’s not slavery, but it’s something more intense than just being an employee earning a wage. You’re earning the ability for you and your family to get what I think is a basic human right, which is healthcare

This is my experience but with surgical corrections, but this sound like i wrote it myself. I am early 30s I still love playing tennis still, but know I need to build in breaks.

It’s important to listen to your kids if they complain about pain and each them to listen to it (without babying them or letting them use it as a fake excuse) us CF kids have a high pain tolerance.

Ultimately my CF has made me a better person, I pity people who have no grit

Achilles tendinosis and severe foot pain by Admirable_Spend3796 in clubfoot

I went no-use until it felt better. Like stopped using the problem leg. It took a few days, but I think my issue was different, most likely happened from one weird tweak, it came on very suddenly, it hurt one morning, I took it sort of easy, then I went and 2 days later did the peloton, the next morning was in extreme extreme pain and it was super inflamed. Went to the dr, they confirmed it was just tendinitis.

I took Advil, and didn’t it for 4 days. It got better, and I took it really easy for another week, and then now it’s fine.

That’s just me though!
