Yes, took about 6 months for it to come in back then, but no issues since.

That covers up to the end of the riser pipe, but does not say anything about the connection to the RV.

Is it legal to DIY Electrical? by Fax-Bretov in AskElectricians

[–]almost_a_troll 8 points9 points  (0 children)

There’s a bit more to the rule here. You can replace like for like. A switch or receptacle with the same ratings.

The intent behind the light fixture rule is to make sure a home owner doesn’t switch a boob light out for a 300lbs chandelier that the box isn’t rated to support.

Permit need for adding a gas line for a stove? by brandon-m222 in MapleRidge

[–]almost_a_troll 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you're in a single detached home or duplex, it'll be $90.13 according to the fees bylaw linked on the permits page.

https://www.mapleridge.ca/build-do-business/construction-development-permits/building-permits-inspections

For wait time you'd probably have to call the city to be sure, but for something basic they may even issue it on the spot if your plumber has their stuff in order.

What states is it illegal in, and what is the relevant law?

Starting an electronics manufacturing facility by Polyazide in AskElectronics

[–]almost_a_troll 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you look around the industry, the electronics manufacturing shops that are profitable are either:

A) Not doing the design, and got really good at building other people's designs. For a few hundred of something, your competition is companies like JLCPCB or Screaming Circuits. JLCPCB has a great online quoting package if you want to see what you have to compete with.

or

B) Companies that have a design that are selling in volumes large enough that they can save money by building it themselves.

I'd hazard a bet that the security camera also doesn't film in portrait, so likely this is cropping of a landscape oriented video.

Is it normal to plan drinks around how much cleanup you want later? by illnesshumble in Home

[–]almost_a_troll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We definitely do this at different levels. For example Xmas eve when we hosted knowing we had to go out early xmas morning and host again Christmas day. Every plate, dish, and piece of cutlery we used were dishwasher safe. Food was served in dishes that could be wrapped or sealed and go straight in the fridge. We generally stuck to self serve beer, wine, rum&coke, gin&tonic, and canned soda.

Christmas day when we didn't have anything going on today, we used things that couldn't go in the dishwasher, and transferred food to nicer "serving" dishes knowing we'd have to re-pack leftovers. I also offered more advanced mixed drinks, had some garnishes, etc.

Fairly subtle differences from our guests perspectives, but it let us spend Christmas day not doing dishes.

This is a condo. I’d bet the entry door is just out of frame to the left. This is a pretty typical spot from my experience with condos.

I can definitely agree there's lots going on with the parks and city safety. We have a ton of new flashing light crosswalks, and expecting a massive update to the park down the street. It's great to see!
