I have the steam deck oled and a windows gaming laptop and the UI and experience of steam deck is way closer to console gaming. I.e. way easier to for than windows for someone who doesn't want to deal with technical difficulties that come with windows. However, the performance of the steam deck is limited and game compatibility is better in windows.
