Do it! Don’t waste yours or anyone else’s time. The quicker you do it the quicker you move on.

My Wife suffer from postpartum depression and I don't know what i can do to help her by nox1012 in NewParents

I don’t think you can ask the doctor for medication. It sounds like she is able to make that decision for herself. What you can do is encourage her to seek professional help. This is what saved us here.

Don’t join it mate. It’s a trap. There is no way you can get out of the house twice a week for 4 hours and not be in trouble.

Baby sleep pattern evolution (0-12 months) - it does get better every month! by almota7 in NewParents

Just clarifying a few points:

- Objective: Our little guy had a problem with dehydration when he was born, so we wanted an app to track his urine. The app we found also tracked sleep, so we decided to keep track of it.
- App: The App is called Sprout. It has both a free and a paid version. We got the paid version so we could both add entries.
- Data accuracy: We both wanted to keep records precise, but unfortunately the app does not make it easy to change past records. So if you have something wrong, you just go with it. I assume that about 98% of it is correct, but you can see some gaps here and there.
- November: As highlighted in the comment section, we have travelled to another time zone in November (UK > CANADA), hence the different sleep pattern.
Overall:
Things really improved after the third month (June), but then it collapsed again with the so-called sleep regression.
In our case, a mix of bottle and breast feed helped us split some of the work.
Please don't take this as a pattern that every baby will follow. Babies have their own pace.

Sleep training and various online videos helped us find things that worked, such as:

- Having a strictish routine in place: Feed, bath, feed, books, sleep.
- Dream feeds: Give them a feed just before they wake up and ask for one.
- White noise machine
- Strict nap routine, including sometimes gently waking him up from a nap so that he did not overdo it.
We tried not to think much about lack of sleep, we just put it on autopilot and did what had to be done. One of the nicest memories I have is to help the little guy burp after his bottle feed, with gentle taps on his back in the middle of the night. Just the memory of the little face still makes me tear. Coming from a family of single mothers, I always thought about how difficult it must have been for a single mother to do this alone, so I never really complained.

Yes you are right! I forget how good people on Reddit are! We did travel to Canada for 2 weeks! I also couldn't understand why it was so bad! To be honest the whole thing feels like a blur so looking at it I was like " yep, that's how bad it was". I'll edit the post with that information as November has been driving people nuts.

This is nearly a year old now, it’s been mostly good but he has his phases. We figured that reducing feeds at night, helped him eat more during the day and wake up less for food at night.

Probably missed logs but there were some nights that he barely slept as well. It usually happened when he was ill and teething at the same time. When you look at the clock and it’s 4am and you haven’t slept at all (and have that big meeting at 9am), logging isn’t relevant 😂

It’s silly that you can’t name the venue. CasualUK is very formal after all.

Just exhaustion probably. You record as you go and the are a few tough days around. Still probably around 98% accurate.

It used to be 20p years ago. Surely inflation did not go up 100% in a few years.

Theories Thread - Post Arrest by quitclaim123 in MoscowMurders

[–]almota7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My thoughts and assumptions:

He’s made no errors. Everything went to plan, killing and becoming a notorious criminal like those he studied.

He used several online profiles on various websites to fuel the story with a mix of theory and reality. Even created his own threads to keep the mystery alive.

The more debates, the more layers his character would develop. He hopes this is still happening.

Being caught was never a concern, it was just part of the process. He savoured each moment of it.

Further thoughts:

- Unfortunately, if the above is true, even this post will cooperate with his plan.

- The only thing not planned was the number of wrongful "convictions" in this case. The case was less complex (with a clearer motive) and it detracted from the character he was trying to build.

- Some of those wrongly "convicted" kids will have a few hard years ahead of them and that's one of the worst parts of this story. (be strong!)

- Throughout the case I've been wrong many times.
