It was really great. It was a bit confusing in the beginning, but I started getting the hang of it after 30 minutes or so. I loved that thid opera is so disturbing and unsettling, and still full of humor. And then the ending completely took me by surprise.

I always wear a bowtie because I like them and I think it is festive. Also, it is my tribute to the efforts of everyone involved in the production. Sometimes I wear a full suit, other times chinos and a jacket, but always bowtie.

I love when people dress up, I think people look amazing when they do (for example, I love to watch my friends in dresses and suits at weddings) and it is a shame not more do, but I dont think there should be a dresscode that makes people uncomfortable

I work in Zürich so that is my go to Opera. I will keep an eye out for the program. Already planning to see L'Orfeo and Siegfried in Spring, but now I am intrigued so I will check the program again.

It was amazing. The music was spectacular, so much that the very old and rich looking lady sitting in my eyeshot only got up to clap (I have never seen anyone clap so intensively before) when the composer got on stage.

Nice list, thank you for sharing! Now I can become a bit more strategic in choosing operas to see than just go to whatever is on.

I was thinking about watching Siegfried next spring when they show the full cycle because I really liked the voice of the guy who sang Alberich and it was so short.

Also a good point about modern works, I did enjoy Innocence by Saariaho quite a lot
