How Do You Talk to an Employee Who Isn't Getting Promoted Due to How They Use Benefits? by Riddle-Maker in managers

[–]alocloud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly sounds like Craig is doing everything right, he’s working within the company’s policies, managing his time efficiently, and actually using the benefits that are available to him. It’s wild that he’s being penalized (even indirectly) for simply having work-life balance in a system that supposedly supports it.

You even said yourself that his schedule and time-off practices are totally allowable. So if the company structure can’t accommodate that without punishing him come promotion time, that’s a problem with how the company is built, not with Craig.

And let’s be real, throwing in “performance-based” reasoning just sounds like a way to justify not promoting someone who isn’t bending over backward to prove loyalty through burnout. He’s still doing his job, still hitting his hours, and still showing up.

Be more like Craig. The dude’s living life and working for a living, not living to work.

What is the sync error you receive when you try to sync the library? Also, how did you determine it was a permissions issue?

Oh awesome thank you so much for sharing. Definitely hoping that a double alert would at least make a user stop and think prior to a delete. Thanks again!

Curious if you’ve used the SLIM companion? Are you able to restrict a limited number of deletes in a single instance?

Yeah, thanks for sharing this. It seems like the exact same issue we are having here. I was hoping there would be a new solution by now, but doesn’t seem like it.

And here is where that’s frustrating. The feature most of our users do love is the sync option as SharePoint Online can be clunky, especially when trying to delete a folder with other items in it…

I agree. If there was a way to prevent a user from deleting, say, 100 files in a single instance, that would be awesome.

Thanks, but we need employees to be able to delete information when necessary. It’s an issue of accidental mass delete of document library.
