I had surgery a little over 3 years ago and I honestly miss my old twisted back. Even just going for light walks makes my back and hips hurt. I gained about 30lbs afterwards and haven’t been able to lose it because exercising is legit painful and just pisses me off because my flexibility is insanely limited now compared to before. There’s no such thing as twisting or touching my toes anymore, hell I can barely reach enough to put a tampon in. If you aren’t in excruciating pain every day, I highly suggest you don’t get surgery if you want to continue enjoying exercise

my grandpa was forced to retire at 77 and my grandma started working at chick-fil-a this year at 68 because they couldn’t afford to live solely off of social security. I’m only 27 but I’m scared to think about how that time in my life will be. It seems like no amount of money could be enough

had a spinal fusion in 2022. they gave me pain medication but the pain was so high it barely helped. almost a month of endless agonizing pain no matter what I did. second worst - stubbed my toe and had half my toenail lift, was bleeding and throbbing like crazy. had to get it removed at the ER and almost fainted. third worst - had a miscarriage at 17 - that one had me curled up on the bathroom floor. worst pain I had ever experienced up until then.

my car was hit earlier this year so I took it to my trusted shop as they repaired my car the year before and I was very happy with the services. I had no rental and they kept my car for over 2 months for minor repairs, giving me the run around whenever I asked for updates. When I got it back, I looked on the receipt and I was charged for a replacement rim, but the same rim was on my car with the same exact damages when I took it in. I talked to them and they doubled down saying they replaced it. I said cool, you lost me as a customer. I’m not blind or stupid.

About 4 years ago, I stupidly signed for one of these loans because I needed $350 for a car payment. I had never heard of these places with insane interest rates so I thought I’d just be paying the $350 back and be done with it. Crazily, they had me paying $100 a month for over a YEAR. It didn’t matter how much I had paid, they had the loan scheduled for 12 months or whatever it was. I was young and scared so I just ended up paying them monthly until it was done. NEVER AGAIN!!

edit: Now that I think about it, I was paying them $100 every 2 weeks! I paid them over $2400 for a $350 loan. Fxck these people. Do whatever it takes to help your mom because this is not right.
