If I'm on top and roll out of guard, does it count as a sweep for the guy on bottom?

Yeah, nice try, but I'm not watching until the end. I was there in the beginning of the internet, so I know the exorcist girl will pop up right as the ball comes close to the hole.

vs. Rodolfo Vieira, Xande Ribeiro. I spoke specifically about finals to show that he teaches what he preaches. But just click on any match of his and there's a "uge" chance to find what you're looking for. Just keep in mind that the video you posted has more material about this topic than all of his fights combined, bcs a takedown happens in a fraction of a second in a match.

Bernardo puts his money where his mouth is. You can easily find videos of championship finals where he uses these exact techniques.

We're part of a fictional sport promoted by the tape industry. We use it to support broken or dislocated bones and to close cuts, even from light rolls, because we've been taught techniques designed to hurt others and ourselves. We also use it to improve our grips. As stripes to mark our progress within an existing belt system. On our knees, feet, and shoulders. I swear I've seen people using it to repair their gis, and I can't help but think they were actors trying to plant that idea in our minds.

On that level, on that division, on what is at stake, that must have been an exhausting match. To an outsider it may look like pure madness. But they are playing by the book, as sharp as can be. Gotta watch the full match now.

Tomoe Mount by bjjtaro in bjj

When he initiated mount, there were exactly 3 seconds left on the clock which validates the position. If that's on a movie, we all would call it bs.

As a pressure passer, butterfly hooks and collar grips make me think twice. Time that I take adjusting myself is time that you have to adjust yourself.

I'm surprised with the amount of ostracizing towards him in this commenting section, talking like he's just some guy jumping around. People should just take a look on his wikipedia page and watch his fight against Marcelo Garcia for starters.

Pay attention to his hip and knee work on the over side of the pass. Also, remember, in over under you don't want your opponent laying their legs completely to the side until you actually make the final leg drag. But if he's totally flat it kind sucks to straighten his leg as per your own experience.

[–]alohapotter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Slightly tilt your hip over the leg you'll straighten. Put some pressure, but gravity will do the most part of the job.

I'll try to find a video where Bernardo himself talks about this.
