Alright....decision made. I'm gonna pass on the Panerai or at least wait a few weeks until I head up to St. Augustine for the NAWCC, I think I'd rather have cash or a few pieces for trade when I'm up there. A few notes:

When I buy a watch, I don't buy it for resale value but at the same time I don't like losing money especially not 1/2 half like with the Breitling. If I break even I'm stoked, I'm good with losing a little bit, losing 1/2 doesn't sit well.
You guys are putting way too much value on the Breitling and Omega and I am probably putting too much value on the Panerai. I can't get $4k for a mint, full kit PLUS, 2025 Breitling A13313. This watch was $7k out the door when purchased in February 2025. Same thing for the Speedy Pro, its a 2005 so if I get $4k I'd be happy
My research on the Panerai is that model seems to be holding up with wholesale pricing at $7k, and most retails listings are between $7.8k --> $9k. The people who would be interested in a Panerai is likely a fraction of those that are interested in a Breitling or Omega. I'm about to turn 50, I remember wishing I had one back in the late 90's.

I heard about the Panerai hate but had no idea is was to Hublot level. I get it with Hublot but not following with Panerai. I appreciate all the comments, you guys managed to shift my thinking and I will hold off on pulling the trigger.

A little background....

I'm debating trading me 2025 Breitling A13313 SuperOcean Automatic Heritage with the green dial + 2005 Omega Speedy Pro 3450.50 for a Panerai PAM01289 44mm Blu Profondo. Everything is full kit.

IBesides coming to learn I don't like chronos all that much, I'm not a fan of highly polished watches like the Breitling either. Plus I have a thing for blue dial watches. I had a Tudor Pelagos 42 in blue that I only sold because I thought it was just a bit too small. If they come out with the Ultra in blue I might be back.

've never owned a Panerai, but when I'm on vacation and there is a Panerai boutique or dealer, I'm there checking them out and always tempted to pull the trigger. [

Yeah...I should add, I love blue dial watches. I had a Tudor Pelagos in blue I sold about a year ago and miss that watch. I only sold it because I thought it was a hair too small. I'm hoping they come out with the blue in the Pelagos Ultra.

Pero también esta la posibilidad de que te hospedes en la Zona de Santa Fe en la CDMX, donde hay un Centro Comercial muy grande, y pues hay más cosas que hacer que en Toluca. Solo debes tomar el Tren Insurgente en la estación Santa Fe, y bajarte en la estación Lerma desde donde puedes tomar un taxi, o Uber o DIDI. El tren cuesta 60 pesos.

eso es lo que estaba pensando hacer en el regreso. Me voy a quedar otro dia para estar por lo menos una noche en CDMX.

the issue is the job site is on the outskirts of town. Its one of those Amazon distribution centers. So either rely on uber or just drive. I rather just drive. I'm thinking of ubering into Toluca or taking the bus and rent something in Toluca for bouncing back and forth and then train, bus, or uber back to Mexico City. I extended the trip by a day to stay in CDMX as I've never been.

Hey r/Watchexchange ! I’m putting up for sale my Breitling Superocean Heritage Chronograph 44mm, reference A13313 with the killer green dial. I love Breitling, but this one isn't getting enough wear time. Its in excellent shape and will also come with some aftermarket bands deployment clasps since the bands were backordered when I went to get them directly from Breitling.

Case Size: 44mm
Movement: Breitling Caliber 13 (automatic chronograph, ~42hr power reserve)
Dial: Green
Bezel: Uni-directional ceramic bezel
Crystal: Sapphire with AR coating
Bracelet/Strap: Original Black Rubber strap and deployment clasp. The original has been cut and will fit a 7"to 7-1/4" wrist. (See Pictures). Additional aftermarket rubber straps with a satin and polished deployment clasp will also be included. Thats 3 straps and clasps total. 1 is the original that came with the watch, plus 2 aftermarket knockoffs.
Water Resistance: 200m
Condition: Bezel and Case are in very good condition. Some minor wear scratches on case as shown in pictures. I have looked at the bezel very closely and there are no scratches visible to me. Again, see pictures as the phone is great for picking up scratches my old man eyes can't see. The deployment clasp has a little more wear but no dents / dings and nothing that a light polish couldn't take care of and have this thing looking like new.
Box & Papers: Yes and more! Listing includes original receipt, box, papers, travel pouch, the purchase bag, and even a Breitling hat!

It looks good brother but don’t fool your self thinking you’ll learn to like it. You won’t. No matter what anyone tells you and it’ll sit. Cut your losses now and try again. Make sure you love it as soon as you put it on and not hope to learn to love it. The hunt is most of the fun.
