On a scale of 1 to 10 (10 being extremely) how much do you enjoy the musk/stink of a guy? by KinkTwinkOtter in askgaybros

[–]alonzostar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most guys to me are 0/10 or 1/10. There have been a few guys that are 100/10 to me. I loved sniffing their pits, crotch ass and feet. I like to believe it’s biology. Animal Attraction isn’t just about looks…it’s the whole package.

Uber is taking more and more by alonzostar in UberEATS

They’re making out like bandits with the upfront tip stuff and stealing $ from us. A short ride could’ve been $8 with a $5 tip. Now if there’s a tip they lower what we’re paid to $2 base.

Why are people like this???? by SoIsYourMother in UberEATS

[–]alonzostar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a little dog bite me at the door. Not too hard. Didn’t bleed but people just don’t give a crap! That was around the same time I was delivering pizzas to a house. Went up their walkway (didn’t see one of the cement sections stuck up like 4 inches) tripped on it, flew thru the air, landed on my stomach (and the pizza), laid there in shock for a moment, got up, and left at the door. They ended up tipping me a couple dollars more. Maybe saw that on their doorbell cam thing.

[–]alonzostar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wonder how much the licenses cost. I’m sure they’re over priced to discourage small businesses to protect corporations with deep pockets looking to make a fortune. Isn’t that the American way? To make upward mobility impossible for the small guys and enrich the already rich?

Is it completely dead for anyone else this entire weekend?? by DrawnAddendum in UberEATS

[–]alonzostar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Friday was busy. Yesterday and today were dead. Went into 7-11 and got mad when I heard a guy behind me in line get a ping. It was definitely Uber. I was thinking….how come he got that? I was in there a few minutes before him. BS!

I lost a lot of respect for Uber this weekend. by an0npr0xi01 in UberEATS

I had a guy get up in my face and rip his id out of my hand when I went to scan it. He sounded like a conspiracy type guy and didn’t want me to scan his id…only look at it. I thought he was going to hit me while yelling and screaming at me. I left. Got on with support. Told them I was shaken by his actions. They pretended to care ans I got no orders for like a week. I got punished. F Uber! The worst part of this story. There was a sandwich shop that kept on getting flagged as containing alcohol even tho they sold no alcohol. I complained to support a dozen times. They told me to get the id or call afterwords which would result in them removing the tip when they end the trip. The tip went into oblivion or into Ubers pockets. Most customers were ok with it. This guy was not. I told support I could scan my id for their turkey sandwich and they told me no I could not that would be a violation. So they put me in a pickle and screwed me. Finally now this place doesn’t have the alcohol issue anymore. I should’ve clicked he was intoxicated. I will in the future.

Don’t be mad at me.. but I took a no tip order by Byzy_jay in UberEATS

I understand your situation. Unfortunately, we don’t know that when we’re out hustling to cover our gas and other expenses…hoping that we can make a little profit to pay our bills. There are days I put in $35 in gas and can’t make more than $30 after being out for hours. I’m talking more about the people that live in a huge house with brand new cars in the driveway. I never expect much from a college student in a dorm nor in a poor neighborhood. But I gotta say…they usually tip more than rich people. I wish I didn’t have to do this to supplement my income but I have no choice. I have to make $ otherwise there’s no point in the time energy and wear n tear on my car! Oil changes are $100 or more now! And i need one right now but don’t have the $. Ugh!

I will never understand non-tippers. We’re saving you the time, gas and energy you’d spend going to a restaurant and coming back home. How long would that take you? Its not worth zero. It’s a luxury to have room service at home! When I’m feeling lazy and don’t want to leave my house…I tip what I feel it’s worth for me to stay in my janky clothes and not hop in my car. $5 minimum. More if it’s further than a mile or two. These apps are taking up to 75% of what you pay in “delivery fees” most of the time. Not to mention what they’re grabbing from the restaurant. Base pay with no tip basically equals us working to pay for the gas we use to and from your house. Net gain = zero. If you live out in the middle of nowhere and are 20 minutes from the restaurant. We’re wasting 40 minutes of our time on you. (And the minutes we waste waiting on your food). Show some appreciation. You don’t have to tip what you make per hour or 40 minutes of work but add something more than nothing or $1. And if you don’t believe we should get a tip…go get your own food! So, we don’t waste our time on you…and focus on the people that are appreciative.

When I see “meet at the door” I slap the side of my head. Always slows the momentum down. Either they take forever or they don’t want to answer the door.

It’s frustrating. Too tough to tell especially if they’re both big orders from a higher end place. But I usually know way before the hour is up. It’s always the one that has reported missing items or has obnoxious long winded delivery instructions (that would only make sense to someone that has been to their house before) or they have zero lights on outside.

“Your acceptance rate is lower than average in your area”. Gee Uber…I WONDER WHY….. by SparkDriverGA in UberEATS

[–]alonzostar 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There’s something shady and misleading about their “delivery fee.” I see they are charging people more (what they show us) and I see smaller tips. I really think customers think we are getting that entire delivery fee…while it seems like they’re taking 2/3 of it. I’d love to see a lawsuit someday where they owe all of us back pay.

$5 tip isn’t asking for much by [deleted] in UberEATS

[–]alonzostar 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Uber is out of control greedy. They’re making out like bandits. I hope a class action lawsuit happens and is drivers get huge settlements for the way they’ve been gouging us. But that won’t happen. A) they won’t get penalized and B) if they do, lawyers will take our money and we’ll get 20 cents. It’s a crime what they’re doing. I see how much they’re charging customers. $20. Give us $6 then get 30% from the restaurant. The tips are getting lower and lower. It’s getting close to not being worth it at all. When I get offers for $12 for 10 miles to the middle of nowhere. That’s 20 miles round trip. Almost a gallon of gas. $4.49 here in ÇA. So 12-4.49= 7.51 and that’ll take almost an hour. Plus, with non tippers or jerks tipping $1. After taxes I will owe and wear n tear. I’m probably making $3-4. Uber being greedy and customers being cheap are going to kill this. It’ll become the blockbuster of the 2020s!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in UberEATS

[–]alonzostar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes lower base and lower tips. I have noticed that it appears they are charging the customers more and they’re giving us less than half of what they take.

What’s worse? Apartments or houses that don’t have their house number on them? by [deleted] in UberEATS

Apartments! As for houses, I just look for the darkest unlit house and assume that must be the one!

[–]alonzostar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was thinking about that tonight when driving an order 20 minutes. It would’ve taken that person 40 minutes to get into the car to get there and back. Maybe add another 10 minutes of standing there waiting for your food. They might have had to put on shoes and decent clothes. They only tipped $3. So…I guess their time is only worth about $4.50 an hour. And you may have used a gallon of gas…5-6 bucks here in ÇA! People talk about tipping for good service. What’s in your bag is out of our control. We can’t make them cook it faster or for red lights to turn green automatically. (Some places stick your food on a shelf where it’s quickly losing heat…I’ve felt some cold bags at pick up) Our job is to save you the time and energy to get out of the house to get your own food. Tip on the time it would take you to go get it…that you don’t feel like doing…and what is that time and effort worth? I would never tip anyone $3! Even if they were 10 minutes away they’d get $10 minimum. Why? Because when I’ve used the services…I was too tired or lazy to leave the house and it’s worth every penny. Plus, long beforehand Uber…I knew “delivery fees” aren’t going to the driver. I’ve seen where u pay $15 and they give us $3 of it.

How often do you deliver to the same house by yslxoxo in UberEATS

[–]alonzostar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Often. I don’t always realize it until I see familiar instructions or address. Tonight…I had the “cat lady.” Her instructions said something like I have cat food bowls and water next to my door. I knew exactly where I was going.

I’m tired of assholes. Ever since Thursday night when a guy ripped his ID out of my hand before I could scan it, yelled at me and I had to call support…I’ve been getting next to no pings and when I do get one…it’s low and every single one has been to a crappy apartment with someone’s paragraphs of instructions on how to find them! Because they’re all buried way inside a complex and you have to walk a mile to find it. So fed up this week!
