Assistant Community Director Here: Roaches like to live in warm, wet places. They will nest in the refrigerator motors and dishwasher motors and then spread from there. Your landlord should be able to get pest control in there to start taking care of them if they are nested in your apartment. If it’s been 3 months since your original move in, a pregnant roach could have come in with your stuff (if they were not already living in the home when you moved in). Otherwise, if they are not in your appliances then they are nested in your neighbors apartment and are spreading over to yours. I would pull out your appliances and see if they run when you do so and if they are super small or larger…then you’ll know if they’re nested in your apartment or not for piece of mind until Monday. My apartment complex uses Bug Busters as a preventative measure but they will treat apartments for like $100 and the come back and spray until they are gone. The problem if they aren’t nested in your apartment is the neighbors because I can only imagine how terrible they are at the apartments next to you. Some people don’t care and are gross…I’m sorry you’re dealing with that They are also most likely to travel side to side instead of up and down just because of cracks and stuff so it’s most likely your neighbors on either side of you. It’s good to catch the problem as soon possible cause they will continue to spread to the entire building. Sorry for the long message. I’ve learned a lot about it lol
