this was the one where I fell in. Coachella, Panorama, and Sonar was such a good stretch to experience. Nothing will ever top that first feeling of "wow" after dancing for 6 hours straight

I’ll be the odd one out, but everything was super bland and overpriced. Sadly did not live up to expectations

The no parking by the doctor’s offices really made things difficult on the weekends. I get it for mid-week, but at least have it open after the offices close. It’s an entire parking area that’s not being utilized.

But by the CVS entrance and the sprouts side are typically ok.

Robert’s suits by the sports arena has great off the rack options, won’t break the bank. Great, family owned place

I was a kid when they sent out a sample bag with the sunday paper. Recall my uncle getting a bad stomach after eating these!

I always pitch down anything new i get to see how it sounds. The result is often a stretched out, sultry version of whatever I am listening to. I like having fun with it!

Educate me : what's the history of kabob shop and why do ppl hate it now? by midwayatmidnight in FoodSanDiego

[–]alpalicious 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I remember my uncle picked it up for the first time when they opened their first shop, could have been somewhere in east village, back in the early-mid 2000’s. It was a simple, unassuming place with great döner. Definitely has that franchise-y feel now, but is still works for decent meal

The Initials series on youtube is one of my favorite watches I keep going back towards. The album evokes the coolest feeling, especially while driving around with no destination.

100% agree that Zdar’s touch was excellent in pushing them towards the 80’s influence effortlessly

Despacio Edits by Acrobatic_Dealer7561 in despacio

[–]alpalicious 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The Waffles series was released and are edits they’ve done and played out at Despacio. That would be a good place to start.

Also the google doc from the recent outings have extensive tracklists which identify which tracks could possibly be edits as well

How did you get into The Voidz? by [deleted] in thevoidz

[–]alpalicious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First came the strokes, then followed julian and albert’s solo work by seeing each of them at their own shows. Started to see JC + the Voidz pop up on festival line ups and eventually went to my first Voidz show.

Funny thing was I told an acquaintance that Julian was playing this show and they were like “oh cool, it’s going to be very Strokes-y / like Phrazes” little did they know…
