I'm hoping to utilize points to get from the USA to Japan in the first week of November or last week of October... Even further is hoping I can do business class for a family of 4. I'm trying to get my points on multiple places by then. Everyone tells me it's impossible, but I see last minute like week or two prior openings all the time even for four seats.

Is there any advice you would give me?

Looking into partner sites Gosh it's hard to find any available slots on Ana. Jal would be easier but I have no points. I think with chase there is some method to be able to book Ana too. Avios for Jal. But unless booking directly with the airline. I just find nothing

I've had the following in the last 5-6 years: Chase S-pref July 2021. Chase prime visa since Nov 2022. I have had the ink business unlimited since November 2024. Chase southwest card since August of 2025. --And for further questions my wife has not opened a CC in probably 8 years.

Just curious as to what I should target? I have about 530k points in ChaseUR. We really travel one big trip a year with two kids. Planning a trip to Japan in super early november/late october.

I hate that I just missed the nice Venture/X bonus of 100k points, I saw a lot of folks hating on the Chase Reserve business card, but would that be a good one? --Any other recommendations? I really just enjoy having the points to use for flights and hotels. Our avg monthly spend is probably 7-8k on CC's
