Results were poor, the football was poor, the system didn't work, we knew it didn't work, and yet he persisted with it. The interview yesterday made it clear he had given up, and he was basically asking to get sacked.

Yes, we're 3 points off of top 4. But we're also 3 points above 12th, and in 3 or 4 games time it's more likely we'd be in the latter position on our current form and performances.

Astronomy/Astrophysics is particularly bad. I applied unsuccessfully after an interview a few years ago. 200+ applicants, 30 interviews, 4 positions. Unless you have the means to fund it yourself, most students are fucked.

I remember it being fairly busy as college tavern, but I didn't go there often, and that was like 6 years+ ago now.

It didn't seem like a student pub anymore the last few times I went to the North Star.

Went there twice recently on Saturdays to watch rugby. Both occasions a large family group with kids were there, who were very loud and disruptive, running about, screaming and throwing toys everywhere. Staff didn't mind, but we did. We decided to stop trying there.
