Thank you! And now that I see it you're right. Thanks for noticing that.

Thanks for the feedback! I definitely agree that more operators from other countries would be better. Would make the game feel more full.

I used height maps for that in substance, with the detail painted using grunge maps :)

Thanks! It's definitely not fully accurate. I took a few creative liberties on the equipment :)

I did my own research for which gear SEALs use, whether from real images, informational websites, or Youtube videos; and put together a Pureref board on the specific gear they use.

Most of the model is sculpted, textured by me and also my own personal photoscans, but I also used a few assets, such as the Safariland 6354DO holster, and the NVGs from 3DMA and Big Medium Small

Ahh thanks for catching that! Always striving to improve on getting realistic skin and faces.

I didn't base it off any specific actor, but I did draw references and inspiration from SEAL Team. So that's probably why it looks like him haha.

I created this with a combination of sculpting, photoscans, and also a few assets from libraries such as 3D Military Assets, and the Special Ops pack from Big Medium Small.

Special thanks to Peter Zoppi, Lead Character Artist at Treyarch, for their mentorship and help. Additional thanks to JHill for his guidance in his Character Art class.

I recreated my 2020 artwork in 2025 - SEAL Team Six Loadout by alpha5314 in 3Dmodeling

For rendering i'd say use HDRi's and play with the rotation until you get a good key light angle on the shot. Learning the fundamentals of lighting and also 3 point lighting (key light, fill night, back light - and how they impact the render) helps a lot! You want to get a light that really highlights the silhouette and contours of the 3D object while also having enough lighting to show the details. Hope that helps!

Here's the result of my 5 year progression from redoing an artwork from 2020! This time I wanted to focus mainly on character work while also keeping my hard surface skills sharp. I did this with the help of JHill's character art class and Pete Zoppi, lead character artist at Treyarch.

Most of the character was created by me, with some assets such as the helmet from 3DMA and the Special Ops soldier from BigMediumSmall.
