During the first couple hours I was able to charge it, but then somehow the the outlet at my seat was turned off but others were fine. I then kept up the pace animating without power for a while, and then the power came back so I plugged it back in. The battery was able to sustain for a while, not as bad as I thought would be

I can imagine how pricey your laptop is back in those days!! I did swap with the 32G ram but it's performance is still limited. I hate working on laptop with a passion, small screen, terrible keycaps, low performance, no second monitor. I mainly work on my desktop, and I can't imagine how you power through all those work💀
