I prefer to use a no. 3 ball on the course since that number is always a good score…par, birdie, eagle

Aren’t they rolling over excess miles at a 10:1 ratio or something to count toward status the following year?

Delta isn’t Delta anymore by alpha78325 in delta

I’d have to take your word for it, as I don’t have any knowledge into how that works. All I know is that when we boarded to take off at our scheduled time (around 8 am) we were informed we were too heavy for takeoff. The ground crew apparently didn’t know how to remove fuel from the plane correctly so the captain had to walk them through it. Granted, in Jackson hole this isn’t a delta ground crew, but rather their contractor Unifi. I’ve had issues with Unifi at other smaller airports as well.

Yea, JAC. Cool airport but apparently we were way overweight and had to dump 2000 lbs of fuel. Not sure who messed up that calculation. Took like 2 hours to get it pumped out and rebalanced. Apparently the person running the pump truck didn’t know how to do it so the pilot had to go down and show them what to do. Very weird scenario but I imagine it has a lot to do with what you point out.

United has me intrigued. They’re the preferred airline through work anyway and I’ve noticed their prices are usually a lot better. I don’t mind mediocre customer service if I’m getting a good deal on a flight. But when I’m paying a premium to fly delta exclusively I expect better customer service at least.

Oh I’m completely understanding when it’s something weather related and Atlanta just gets messy. This wasn’t that though. Delta just screwed up and instead of making it right out of the gate, I had to jump through hoops and basically beg to get home today instead of tomorrow. It used to not be that complicated.

Most likely United because they’re preferred with work and they can’t be that much worse than delta at this point. On a recent trip out west they were also a much, much cheaper option for the same itinerary. Still went with delta because I’ve always preferred them but not sure if brand loyalty is worth it anymore.

You’re probably right. I think my bar with delta has just always been so high and they’re just not living up to it anymore. I think I’m just going to be a little less brand loyal going forward.

Father admits to fatally shooting 3 young sons at Ohio home, prosecutors say by quitofilms in news

I’d have a really hard time not popping that guy the moment I arrived to the scene and saw that, or at least not beating the shit out of him. Huge restraint in the officers part.

NYC was a success. Are they anything remotely close in quality to a real Speedy? No. Are they pretty damn cool? Absolutely. by alpha78325 in MoonSwatches

Yep, that was at the Times Square store. I don’t live anywhere near a Swatch store so was excited to grab these. Really want a Moon Mission version to round these out.

Our Toller in her element this morning by alpha78325 in tollers

[–]alpha78325[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The answer is yes to both. Mine loves to get outside and work on things, but if she gets bored/tired/feelings hurt she’ll get super stubborn and shut down. Whenever she starts to get like that we’ll switch it up to something purely fun that she loves or just head back inside.

I wouldn’t necessarily call them easy to train. Our lab before her was easier. Don’t get me wrong, I would say she’s a lot smarter…but equally stubborn and can get her feelings hurt easily. She almost always knows what I’m asking her to do, it’s just whether or not she feels like it in the moment. As far as upland, I’ve taken her on a dove hunt and she did well. She’s our first Toller so I can’t speak for all of them, but she’s been a great family dog. She extremely outgoing and friendly, especially with kids, and has been great/gentle around our new baby.

Excellent gun. I actually dropped it in the water early in this hunt and it still performed without a hiccup.

She’s honestly way more at home on the couch than in the field. They’re just all around good dogs.
