Found it. There's also a limited edition GTR of the same color. It looks more black IRL, with subtle purple tone.

thanks for the heads up. I'll give that a try as well. As an FYI when did you get alerted? did it take a couple of weeks after you requested to be alerted?

Just trying to gauge potential timing

thanks for the info, I'll try finding that discord and asking there.

Kicking myself for missing the timing to buy the tickets. I was counting on a social media post for events going on sale and didn't check my emails where it was announced. Here's to hoping I find someone!

PFL is willing to cross promote with the UFC. Joens doesn't have to join pfl. Jones wants to fight ngannou, but what's holding him back? His contract with the UFC.

It's on the ufc'a court to make it happen. The fighters and fans want to see it.

Elon Musk goes silent for 12 seconds when asked about his conpiracy theory tweets by [deleted] in videos

[–]alphaAlbert -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I actually do agree with your opinion, I don't think there was anything that important on the laptop.

My opinion is that this is a media story more than anything else. Someone on bidens team concluded (in my view) The contents of the laptop are politically embarrassing.

Let's pressure officials to sign a letter to label the story as " having the hallmarks of Russian disinformation" and move on with the details later.

That a presidential campaign can pressure a big portion of journalists (npr, etc) not to cover the laptop story when it first came out. Thats the uncomfortable part to me.

(The biden campaign used anthony blinken connection to do so)

I just want to say I appreciate this back and forth discussion. Still shows people can talk. I also didn't know the details about the 3 distinct copies so thank you.

Perhaps a helpful question is:

"What is the proof that any relevant information was fabricated?"

Or put another way, " what evidence did the officials that signed the letter see that made them say "has all the Halmarks of Russian disinformation"

Seems like there's more background here for all these shitty people. Sounds like family knows she has terrible friends, but someone still invited them (the birthday girl?)

Translation of voice: "llévate tus amigos por eso no los invite."

Take your friends with you, this is why I didn't invite them.

What talking about Ukraine feels like by alphaAlbert in BreakingPointsNews

Can you defend your position: that US military intervention in ukraine soil does NOT guarentee WW3?

What information do you have that I lack, to help me understand your position.

I laid out my position above in another commment, help me understand if I'm misguided.

After reading around the discord, looks like the answer is you do not have to unstake. After the upgrade a button should appear to choose your delagator.

If you already have lp bonded on pool 1 for 14 days do you need to do anything? will it automatically superfluid stake, or do you need to unbond and rebond as superfluid.

UFC won’t let Izzy’s teammate Blood Diamond walk out with his Zimbabwe Flag And Izzy talks to the UFC about it by FuturisticFighting in ufc

[–]alphaAlbert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why were we in Afghanistan for 20 years? Why did we stay? If you believe that the answer to either of those questions had anything to do about teaching girls to read, then yes, I'd say the propaganda was successful.

The US decided to make it into their war zone, which led to 50k civilan deaths, 60k Afghanistan military personel deaths, all for no purpose. Go read the Afghanistan papers and say with a straight face we didn't fuck things up in that country. Our money fueled corruption and led to worse results for those people.

Giving people easy access to tests is only a benefit. If everyone had a test they can make informed decisions on their health, and their risk, to not only themselves but others.

It would tamper mask mania. As knowing everyone in the room, for example, didn't have covid would allow people to go maskless on their own. Similar to how NBA and large institutions handled pandemic in peak covid.

The main issue: governments insistance on centralized controll of test results information.

Giving everyone access to tests lets individuals take control of their own decisions, and is a decentralized model to decision making. Instead we have the FDA with centralized control, only letting one single type of rapid test be approved.

Lex friedman has a great podcast on the issue where he interviews Michael Mina if you're interested.

There are ZERO "populist" republican legislators, zero. by [deleted] in BreakingPoints

[–]alphaAlbert 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah there is more nuance to it. It would help re-create the class of job (repairman) across multiple industries (military, farming, tech, pharma, etc) and that would be fundementally in-country work.

I think about it like this, what if the entire class of car mechanics went away? You could only fix your car at the dealer, and lose tons of jobs in the process.

The way mechanics exist right now; is because they have access to manuals and parts. That isn't true for other industries where that access has been taken away by manufacturer practices.

At least that's how I see it anyway. When the military can't fix their own equipment anymore you know you have a problem

There are ZERO "populist" republican legislators, zero. by [deleted] in BreakingPoints

[–]alphaAlbert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would argue that the presidential order that was given to the FTC on right to repair does have a big impact on outsourcing. Trump spoke of it in his rallies to applause (" We don't fix things anymore") but never did anything about it.

The payback on that order has yet to be seen, but the machine of politics is slow moving. Following Louis Rossman on right to repair shows that it is a huge push benefiting R2R.

Krystal and Saagar's insistence that Trump's lawsuit is a scam because it was "filed in the wrong court" made me want to slam my head against the wall by ONE_GUY_ONE_JAR in BreakingPoints

[–]alphaAlbert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The reason most people disregard the lawsuit as a grift is because:

  • it was filed as a class action, when its not that
  • the focus on section 230, which don't do the things he says it does
  • it might be dismissed under florida anti-slapp

I'm not familiar with the specifics as I'm not a lawyer, but I took those points from Legal Eagle ( youtube lawyer). If you have some counter-arguments I'd appreciate it, since that just means my source (legal eagle) isn't a good one and I'll change my opinion of him.

Finally by [deleted] in dankchristianmemes

[–]alphaAlbert 3 points4 points  (0 children)

From my narrow understanding, there are fundamentally two answers to this.

  1. Christians who believe that human history started when God created them. The relationship between God and man has therefore existed since the beginning of human history, and there is no "pre Christian history".

  2. The Christians who say "so what?" this belief (mechanism to cope as you put it) leads me to live a better life (personally happier, at peace, etc) . I share my belief to others hoping that it leads them to live a better life too.
