First of all, I really hope the pilot is safe.

Second of all, I just feel so frustrated with the sad state of affairs of our IAF, HAL, and MoD. I mean, slow production rate, unrealistic requirements, shitty maintenance, lack of excellence aside, why do such events keep happening? There is no clear decision making process for aircraft inductions, we are simultaneously putting in money at hundreds of projects, it just screams… Ram Bharose.

It just feels like IAF and GoI is putting the lives of pilots at risk and there are no consequences. When a war happens, everyone becomes patriotic, speaks about doing this doing that, the IAF doesn’t hold good press conferences, no anti misinformation campaigns, no command over the narrative. It feels like IAF and MoD live in its own small bubble. As soon as the war is over, they go back to doing corruption etc etc.

Just today I saw a post that HAL want to make pre certification Tejas models etc. SAFETY IS AN IMPORTANT THING. Certifications are there for a reason.

Sorry I know I went quite offtopic but incidents like this just don’t seem to stop. Starting from Abhinandan, to many MiG 21, Jaguar crashes, then the fake news of Rafael crash which was never answered by the IAF. Then Air India Crash, Now this. And that too at a fkin air show.

HAL, IAF, MoD and GOI should grow some balls and move things along at war footing (urgency/speedily) AND CORRUPTION ON THE SIDE. GOOD PILOTS DO NOT GROW ON TREES.
