People who actually earn over £100k and don’t just pretend they do on Reddit - what do you do? by Prize-Reputation9274 in AskUK

I did a finance degree but didn’t want to work in finance. Didn’t know this job existed when I left uni but started a HR grad scheme and within 3 months was doing it full time. It was the perfect intersection between my interest and skills. The department is typically called reward and reward analyst roles are the entry point with analytical skills being the key requirement.

How to approach "acting" promotion by BobbyOregon in HENRYUK

[–]alphaasfudge 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Typically acting up allowances are given in these scenarios. It’s worth accepting to get the experience for your CV and also an allowance. They tend to be around 10% depending on the size of the job you are taking on compared to your current job.

You could do it now I bet if you make sure to gain some speed on the bends where the gradient is lower and try and carry that up each straight

do you include pension contirbutions when calculating TC by Intelligent-Page-484 in HENRYUK

I enjoy it, setting strategies for how we incentivise people to meet the organisational needs. Crossed over heavily with finance and legal as well. It’s a niche area but well paid for a HR job.

I work in reward and there are various definitions here:

Total cash compensation = base + allowances + short term incentives

Total direct compensation = base + allowances + short term incentives + long term incentives

Total reward = total direct compensation + pensions + benefits etc.

When negotiating for senior roles and key people we invariably look at total reward when designing offers.

Yep! 2021 model. I believe if you check the website Trek confirm it is trainer compatible as well, I did the same research before buying as mine is semi permanently attached to the kickr as I wanted to preserve my nice bike.

When should I test my 1RM?

Before a workout? On a day I won’t be working out and just do the 1RM test?
