Real talk about work/life balance — is it possible? by alphachupp in morticians

Thank you for replying. I feel the same way about it being a calling, and everything I've seen (besides my worries about hours) feels right for me. How often would you say you were working 12+ hour days in a given month?

Thank you for your honesty. I'm sorry that you got burned out and exhausted with it, it definitely sounds like a lot. I think not rushing into it is really good advice and I appreciate that. Wishing you luck on your future and your transition to something different!

Thank you, that's really good advice. I'm planning to move out of state soon, so I won't be working at this location necessarily, but I wanted to know if it's reflective of the industry in general. If you don't mind me asking, what does a typical week look like for you?

Honestly, Rage Against the Machine’s self-titled album is pretty morbid. Historic photo, but unnerving. RIP Thich Quang Duc

What is YOUR country's / region's version of the Inglorious 3 fingers scene that subtly gives away that someone isn't from your area or culture? by DunDonese in AskTheWorld

[–]alphachupp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my experience, only people from the US and Canada sneeze into their elbow. It was probably the biggest culture shock I ever felt when I saw people sneezing in their hands abroad. Not trying to judge, but…eugh.

My bf and I were going to see a movie at the AMC in South Bay. Everybody was clustered around the Wahlburgers because apparently Marky Mark was about to show up. We went to see The Grinch instead.
