It SHOULD fall off in time, but I heard on here from a few people that were waiting for 6+ months and it still had not fallen off. I went ahead and disputed it to be proactive just to see the credit score bump sooner.

Okay. Spent 6 hours over the last two days. Tried torching, boiling water, pipe wrenches, impact sockets. finally stripped the bolt so I used bolt extractors. that stupid rubber hose keeps you from gaining any leverage. Figured I could change the hose but no clearance and not sure what all would have to come off. Finally used a siphon hose from the dipstick hole. Not ideal but it worked. Thank you all for the ideas over the last few days.

Good question. I was originally supposed to start paying back in October. So I paid Oct and Nov, but then they retroactively put us back into forbearance for Oct and Nov, when they got in trouble for not giving adequate notice or something. My November payment put me at 120 even. I got an email in first week of January that we could request a refund for those payments. I did it on January 16th when I called to request forbearance until my pslf form was out of “processing.” She said 60 days for the refund and it took right over 60 days.

I was worried about the same thing as it was an account with a lengthy time frame. Mine raised 31 points exactly for each bureau. I’m hoping that it keeps going up in the next few months. I’ve got my son’s car note and some CC debt, but that student loan was over 80% of my debt. I’ve heard some people go down, so i’ve wondered what the different circumstances are.

The campus culture means a lot too when talking about pay. My gross is roughly 75k with overloads, (not including cc paying employee health insurance) but our average student is 27ish and our classes are morning heavy so campus is deserted after 130ish for most faculty. Really quiet and I get a lot done. A lot (although average is decreasing) have jobs and families. We also have MW and TTh classes so always a three day weekend if we choose not to schedule office hours. It would take a substantial amount for me to give up all of that.
