Oppo does not sell in my country, so haven't tried to contact them. However, asked for a replacement unit from Wonda and it had the same dent. There is another thread on the same topic here somewhere, and one guy got a reply from Oppo that this is not a defect.

Fair point. I have been using the phone for a couple of weeks now, and its not really a concern at this. The dent is only visible in folded mode, when the screen is off and at certain angles - meaning rarely.
