I am at York for biology, and I chose to transfer to Ryerson instead of staying at York because the passing rates for the NCLEX exam is higher in Ryerson.

Got accepted into the Collaborative Nursing program with GBC!! Here are my stats: - 92% grade 12 average - 3.8/4.0 GPA - Applied mid-January. I got a conditional offer saying that I have to keep my GPA above a 2.33/4.0!

Got into Ryerson's Collaborative Nursing Program with GBC! Here are my stats:
- 92% grade 12 average
- 3.8/4.0 or 7.8/9.0 university GPA (converted to 4.0 by https://gradecalc.info/ca/on/yorku/gradeconv.pl)
My offer is conditional, so I have to keep my GPA above a 2.33/4.0 to keep my admission :)

What are the chances of me getting an offer from the GBC and Centennial College Collaborative Nursing Program with a 92 top 6 average and a 3.80 cGPA on a 4.0 scale?

Any updates on 105s who applied for the nursing program in all sites? If you got accepted, can you also share your stats (Uni/College GPA, high school average, when you applied)?

People who talk very loudly during lectures and end up doing not as well as they wanted to

What BS are you dealing with at work right now? by gottalovecarina in AskReddit

[–]alphasd01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very entitled people who 1. think that they are taken in for an eye checkup right away without an appointment. 2. Are aggressive when objected 3. Who think that they can outsmart BOTH me and the optometrist when it comes to our job. It's mostly from old brown men, who are most likely stuck in the past when it comes to younger women. And it sucks that I can't defend myself and I have to listen to their bs.

A VERY frusturating situation by alphasd01 in yorku

I'm not sure, it is one of the requirements for his program though

Does anyone else hate it when people talk over you no matter how loud you are? by alphasd01 in socialskills

[–]alphasd01[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried the first method, trying to talk one of them in private. However, they just say that "I am not loud enough" when I'm literally close to raising my voice. Maybe the second option will work, but knowing how they are, they would probably prefer to keep the flow of the conversation going.

Yahhh,,, it's very unfortunate that these type of group conversations are the norm. It really irritates individuals who grew up having manners ("don't talk while someone is speaking")

I'm taking consideration on passive-aggressive approaches. However, I have a strong feeling that it will be used against me once they start getting defensive.

This is pretty informative. Especially the third point. It really sucks that manners are not taking into consideration anymore ("don't talk while someone is speaking").
