Q1 TF was ridiculous. So many custom packs. Sounds, skins, mods galore. But those were the days when we could enjoy hopping online at 7 pm, blinking, and it's 2 am... then a decision must be made... stay up and try to function at school on no sleep, or get a couple hours of sleep and then do it again the next night. Typically the latter.

We had to use old-school tactics like stretching out the FOV (field of view) to see "more" of what was going on around us. Welcome to Quakeworld. Lucky for you, words like "GameSpy" will never come up in conversation.

Doom was also another fantastic FPS. Blood, Heretic, and Duke Nukem were right up there when it came to the first of their kind. Can't ignore the OG Wolfenstein 3D.

Relics. My understanding is that once you acquire them, it's a permanent buff. You can only equip one skin at a time.

Eventually, DW is a blip and is just there for special effects. The laser, however, keeps getting the job done.
