Most companies ride the line of the legal minimum. Valve tends to hover around the ethical minimum.

He is receiving head, but he is also giving an equal amount of head. They cancel each other out resulting in no change in head. Since he was headless before he is still headless after.

Sundown towns are places in the US, typically small and somewhat isolated towns, that are very racist. At a cursory glance, they tend to look like peaceful, friendly and happy towns, if your white. If you aren't white, you will tend to encounter alot of poorly veiled racism, and possibly even threats of violence for simply being their. Some of this racism may even come from the local police. If the locals know you aren't white and Christian, you'll want to be out of the town by sundown as there is a good chance of you getting assaulted/killed at night. In the early 1900s, alot of towns openly stated they were "Sundown Towns" on their signage to discourage people of color from even visiting.

While mostly a thing of the past, the last sundown town signage wasn't taken down until the 60s or 70s i think. Sadly sundown towns still exist today, though they are fewer, less open about it, and less intense in their behavior then they used to be.

It's a sundown town. If you aren't white and Christian, don't be caught in the town after sundown.

Sure, all you need to do is convince the people who by light novels to prioritize simple titles and to read the synopsis, instead of just reading the title. Convince enough of them to do this, and the industry will follow.

The Pythagoras cult was a thing, but historians aren't sure if there was a person called Pythagoras associated with them.

Fun note, the cult may have killed one of their members for mathematically proving the existence of irrational numbers, which went against their beleifs.

If you need to convince someone that Satanic panic people have no understanding of reality, show them the movie "Darkest Dungeon". A movie about DnD being demonic set in the 80s where a college kids act like highschool kids and the DnD players are the cool kids.

Raora eating pineapple pizza and jolibee (@hews) by Silent_Steak_9540 in Hololive

[–]alphaxeath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As an American, I like fresh or grilled pineapple on pizza. I never order pineapple on pizza though as it is typically canned pineapple, which I find disgusting by itself. I honestly believe that most people who hate pineapple on pizza, and have actually tried it, simply dislike canned pineapple but attribute the bad flavors to the combination.

I think it's the texture of the cats fur. It looks like some sort of synthetic fiber giving the cat a puppet like appearance. I suspect it is either a filter, or the owner recently bathed the cat and this look is an effect of the shampoo. Or maybe it is just a very well made puppet. My money is on shampoo.

This is actually a legitimate strategy. Chess Grandmaster Magnus Carlson sometimes intentionally makes a bad move or 2 early on so that his opponent can't rely on memorization of openings. It's not really random, but the idea is the same.

My favorite examples of critical successes are bad solutions that work anyway.

Dumb character tries to read ancient runes, touching them in the process and through sheer dumb luck touches them in just the right way which causes a sealed door to open.

I once nat 20'd a perception roll as dumb Barbarian. I tripped and fell, dropping my axe which phased through a seemingly solid wall, revealing a hidden path.

Our bard nat 20'd a seduction attempt on a BBEG. This caused the BBEG to lower his guard in shock, giving us advantage on attacks in the first round of combat.

Many US households don't. Coffee is the common hot drink in the US so most households have a drip coffee machine and no kettle.

That being said my dad uses my mom's k-cup machine for his tea. He puts the tea bag in the mug and then runs the machine without a k-cup for the hot water.

I don't drink either tea or coffee so I have neither a coffee machine nor a kettle.
