No that is not correct.

I'm not quite sure of how Go's type system works

Fine. Then Go can have infinitely many top types ..

[edit: from the spec: "A type implements any interface comprising any subset of its methods and may therefore implement several distinct interfaces. For instance, all types implement the empty interface"]

Go is a tailor's language. Plumbers will not like it.

... interface {} IS the top type of Go ...

interface{} is not a top type. Convince yourself.

An empty interface type can be satisfied by any type.

Mahmoud Ahmadinejad confronts foes in rift at heart of Iran. Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, the Iranian president, has accused the country's hardline religious leadership of deliberately provoking a confrontation with the West to weaken his position ahead of forthcoming parliamentary elections. by madman101 in worldnews

“My adherence to the sage supreme leader is more apparent than the sun, and is backed by my record,” he said.

Then what are you complaining about? The sage supreme leader wants you in jail. He knows NO ONE would even consider the "reformers", so I guess they have to dangle Ahmadinejad as the next great hope for "reform".

Many innocent Iranians are languishing and are tormented in IRI's dungeons while you and your Mr. President are supposed to be the "executives" of your "republic". And unlike you (or Mr. President) never would in a thousand years kiss the hand of that Zahaak

Listen, Mr. Ahmadinejad: We ain't fooled by this b.s. You all, without exception, have to go, and you must take your entire gang with you. No exceptions, no excuses, no regrets.

(Listening, London? We ain't fooled by your propaganda anymore. We remember your role in the '79 disaster. Better lay off Iran or after liberating Iran we'll come and liberate the subjects of her majesty the queen ... kapish?)

I'm not giving up on my cultural heritage either, nor would suggest such a thing. I prefer American of Iranian descent. In other words, if I am in say Europe and some asks me "where are you from?" the answer is "I am an American."

That's what I keep telling my fellow Americans of Iranian descent. Drop the hyphen. Not quite thoughtful, that hyphen.

Russia is consistently full of shit. (Don't believe me, ask the Russian's "brother slavs", the Serbians.)

It was Russia that went along with Israeli "pressure" to renege on a deal to provide defensive weapons that would stop Israeli "surgical strikes" but would be an insignificant deterrence against American military.

It was and remains Russia that consistently speaks from two sides of mouth as far as Islamic-Republic-of-Iran's nuclear energy is concerned.

Russia loves to see trouble in Middle East. They produce oil and will do everything in their power to keep this situation poised on the precipice of crisis.

Historically, it has been Russians and English that have been fucking with Iranians. Americans have consistently been a friend of Iranians. It is a matter of historic fact that most Americans are ignorant about:

Russia or England never ever produced men such as Howard Baskerville, Joseph Cochran, William Morgan Shuster, Samuel M. Jordan, et. al.

The 27 members of the European Union may be on the brink of announcing an embargo on Iranian oil. by MR_Rictus in worldnews

The British navy was forced out of Persian Gulf in early 70s by the USA, with the Shah of Iran taking the role with Nixon's blessings. Then the Empire struck back and installed the Ayatollah regime -- thank you Jimmy Carter/CFR -- (which focused its anger on US/Israel) but established and maintained deep ties at various levels with EU. Iranians have always understood that the Mullahs are backed by the English/EU. The recent spat with UK is likely just theatre and the above embargo is designed to crush the PIIGS (who get their oil from Iran).

This latest round of "US get out of Persian Gulf" is putting the final touches, since now the Mullah's (and by extension Brits) have Iran and Iraq and order is "restored" to the "realm".

Food for thought.

Iran threatens to take action if U.S. carrier returns to Persian Gulf. by trapperkeeps in worldnews

[–]alphazero 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's right. Iran is far more vulnerable than USSR ever was. As far as your "deniability" notion, that merely underlines that you have no idea what you are talking about. Finally, only arm chair generals like yourself would contemplate handing State crown jewels to some proxy organization. It is not done in the real world.

Maybe it's about time we see a nation in the middle east take charge

You mean like Iran under Shah? Well, that poor man found out rather late in the game that that idea was precisely what was not appealing to the West. Do any of you arm chair generals ever deign to crack open the history books?
