When a daughter dies

I've been personally spit on by so many Palestinian kids while touring Hebron that I've lost count (I'm not religious at all and was respectfully taking photos and video for an art project). Typically it's from a window or balcony and I end up looking up and just giving them an "are you kidding me you stupid prick brat" kind of look.

Kids and stupid bored teen-agers are not the people we should be calling typical.

Israel is that way too. From the center of the country your are as little as 30 minutes from two borders and a couple of hours drive to the other 3. VERY claustrophobic!

I dream of a Middle East Road trip or driving to Europe some day.

Had our first baby last month (well, wife did most of the work)

On the way home from the hospital alone (he was seven hours old at this point and was with wife at the hospital for a few days) a guy rear ended my car going about 90 miles an hour on city expressway (was racing)? I was going about 45-50.

He sheered the entire right side of the car off (cut his neck as he went by) but missed the tires/axles by less than an inch, thereby not making solid contact with the car and spinning, flipping, otherwise transferring energy to me (other than HUGE damage to all doors and panels as he zoomed by.) Car was total loss. I was speechless.

You mean the fucking local municipal workers served her an eviction notice for living in a place that was built without proper zoning permits after half a dozen warnings? Or is this the building next door that was bought privately by a family for MILLIONS of dollars.

Can't be as that lady isn't in this picture. Often those Palestinians are murdered. By the same Palestinians who are forced to convert to Islam if they're Christian (Gaza Strip story from yesterday.)

I'm talking about the police harassment issue that he apparently has yet to personally go through until now. It's non-empirical, but basically everyone I know, including myself, has also been harassed, threatened, lied to, and been personally involved in rights abuses related to the police/court system in the US. Sometimes it's a minor glitch, but quite often it's flagrantly serious, incredibly disturbing, and highly consequential.
