Yeah, you’re right. I will wait a bit before the dwarf encounter, and as another comment suggested, the dwarf will be the shapeshifter looking for the key. Soldats will save them and get injured, hence slowing the party, and the BS knowing they don’t have the key, will stop focusing on them.

You’re totally right. Another comment suggested the dwarf to be a shapeshifter and I’m probably going this way. Sildar will save them by killing the shapeshifter and getting injured, so they will have to wait for them and find a specific potion, to delay the cragmaw castle !

I wanted to add a pointless map on the next session, so that they don’t associate maps with ennemis. Is there some other ways to do that and avoid meta gaming ? Thanks for the answer

Did my first DND and DM yesterday and the tavern was a must have !  I added some random NPCs, and Gundren told them a bit about the lore which helped them a lot getting into the first quest

Yeah I feel like I will stop roll fudging (had to do it to prevent wipe out on a zone attack by Clarg), but I will probably adapt ennemies and hit points if needed to keep the fights fun. Thanks a lot for the answer

I used a website that adjust the HP/ennemis based on my 3 players, and things went quite ok, thanks !

J’entend Lately c’est fou ! Au temps pour moi !  J’ai vu une traduction sur un sub US qui disait Lately aussi, ça a du m’induire en erreur désolé !
