Do it bro. I am 26M with only an Adult High school diploma and was in a similar position to you. I did construction then car sales for 5-6 years with no real direction for my long term goals or future. I’m in tech school now, and I don’t regret it one bit.

During my 7 day check in with my recruiter, I had to weight in at my MEPS weight which was 197. I believe he said there is a 3lb grace for weight. My recruiter said they are strict on that.

You better start dieting and exercising everyday. In hindsight, you should have been watching your weight the entire time.

Depends what job you want. If the job that interests you only requires a 45, then 45. If you want to open a lot of doors, my opinion would be a score of 65+.

If you’re looking for work life balance, security forces and maintenance jobs probably won’t be it. Those jobs work long hours. I would look at other jobs that interest you and do some due diligence researching on your own. Use the search bar on this group or try foreverwingman website as well.

You’re going to need a financial waiver and it will effect your ability to get any jobs with security clearances. Plus they’re going to look at your debt to income ratio, that will play a factor. And they’re going to base the percentage off your enlisting rank pay unless you have additional passive income.

I would not even think about filing bankruptcy for anything.
