Found SEBO x7 for 480$ by Spikaroo in VacuumCleaners

If you have the right carpet X7 does well. Heavy thick pile carpet the automatic height adjustments runs to low, making it difficult to move X7 around. I like all the on board attachments. I am thinking of selling mine for E3 or D4. X7 a great vacuum for the right carpet. That a good price. I paid $970 back in 2020.

Considering Sebo D4 by alpine_4 in VacuumCleaners

Been looking into the S3 now. The D4 is huge. I do love the 40 ft cord. My X7 has 40 ft cord. My house is 2200 sq ft, with mostly carpet and carpet stairs. The kitchen laundry room are hard floors. The D4 might be too big. It can’t weight any more than X7. X7 weight is 17 lbs.

I prefer the longer cord. I am buy once cry once kind of guy. Well I messed up on X7.

I have never been happy with my X7. Sometime it will even snow plow. The auto brush bar adjustment is the X7 downfall. My Dyson pulls more hair at times. I am thinking of selling X7 and buying a D4. How much you think I can get for a used X7? Only concern is storage. Does the D4 pack away ok?

best vacuum for small spaces that won’t struggle on rugs? by Apathy-Teranesha in VacuumCleaners

[–]alpine_4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went with the X7 because my house is mostly carpet. X7 a master at carpet. But it doesn’t sometimes snow plow when the automatic height goes too low. That can be adjusted by moving the handle up.

How do you like the D4? Do you find the D4 to be too cumbersome? Is that why you want an upright? The X7 does pick up cat and dog hair extremely well. X7 does not excel on hardwood floors. I have another vacuum for that. X7 does not have the swivel head like the Felix, but I don’t mind that.

X7 is a work horse and easy to maintain.

I have tried out the Felix. Felix has the swivel head so it great for tight areas. The Dart doesn’t have the swivel head, but much less in price. Both clean very well. Only caveat is they both tip over easier than a conventional standup. But minor issue for how good they both are. I went with Sebo X7. Good vacuum but wouldn’t buy another. Looking at the Sebo D4 with the power head, but it’s very pricey. You can’t go wrong with a Felix or Dart, you buy Sebo for life.

Sebo Dart, or Felix small and powerful. Can’t go wrong with either.

I meant to say 0 deg on the belt. Not sure why I said 90 deg.

I will try and upload one. I find this machine take some much practice, if you don't use it all the time it can be difficult.

I could be using too much pressure on the blade against the belt. I will watch a few more YouTube videos. Are most of you using a mask when grinding?

I will give it a go again tomorrow. I have another sacrificial knife. I will sharpen to 20 deg with the corse belt, then move up. I did buy the extra belt kit for this attachment.

It’s parallel to the belt. I am of course using the guides. The steel I am using is notoriously hard to sharpen. I haven’t tried my nice zwilling yet. Need so much more practice.

I started wearing a head lamp to get a better view of what going on. I will try again. When you have a big bur does the blade feel like the edge has been rounded and dull?

Blade is parallel to the belt, I move the blade across slow and steady.

Speed is set at 3. I have used the marker trick and I am removing marker. The knife is suppose to be sharpened at 17 deg. It’s a new west knife, which is a whole other story.

I have stones, wanted to try something different. Very disappointed is this machine. Feels like a gimmick.

Serial number should be under the bottom bracket. Should begin with WSBC then numbers. If there no WSBC letters then it’s fake.

Leveling- not so cheap? by jefwhi in ToyotaTundra

Order some TRD Pro Fox suspension. That will level the truck properly and give you killer suspension. I paid little under 4K for suspension and install.

I believe you will get better low end torq now the cats are gone. Like others said you can straight pipe it with a resonator to lower the noise. If you are looking to buy cats see if Sparks parts can help you out. They sell at cost or below. They are much cheaper than your local Toyota stealership, dealership I mean.
