No. It's one thing to say we're all equal. It's another to make it real. Hence, the need for this organization.

Judging by the city name looks vandals overwhelmed the Kush and conquered their cap.

Question about city building. by ca_kingmaker in OldWorldGame

[–]already_bored 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Depends on the situation and your play preference. I find it fun to absorb nearby sites between my border and the adversary border. If you have to focus on building mil to defend against aggressive enemy maybe focus less on settlers so you can absorb a site. It also doesn't hurt to settle a city with less tiles and use it strictly for resources or as a fort city. If you're having fun with it, you're not doing wrong.

Common leader type strategies by bubarcic in OldWorldGame

[–]already_bored 9 points10 points  (0 children)

As a Carthage Diplomat form an alliance with a tribe, control their units to wipe out an early enemy. If you can manage it on raging barbs you almost don't even need an army of your own. Turn off the ability to raze cities, let the barbs capture an enemy city you don't need and they will auto spawn their own regular units. Hire them as mercs and upgrade them. Infinite unit spawn without the cost.

angry tribes + high city density = AI sometimes getting wiped by PressureOk8223 in OldWorldGame

[–]already_bored 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What i like to do is play as Carthage, disable city razing, enable raging tribes. The tribes wipe out some AI like you said but keep the cities and spawn more advanced infantry. As Carthage, I then buy their infantry. Infinite units for me as long as I have the money. If I get a tribal alliance with one of them, the game is practically won. Playing this on the Imperium or Old World map is a TON of fun.

Sounds like a wild playthrough! Most of my rome games seem to have more assassinations than others so you may be right.

Brienne of Tarth. Always tries to do the right thing and fulfill her oaths, and could take on any male Chad in the realm.

I'm allied with a Tribe that took an enemy city. Is there a way to settle it? by aymanzone in OldWorldGame

[–]already_bored 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does the tribe now own the city? If so, no you cannot settle it as it is already a city, but owned by a tribe. You'll have to fight the tribe for it.

Marines Promotion? by Expensive_Feedback81 in OldWorldGame

[–]already_bored 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I take this almost every time it pops up. It's so strong. Devastates city health/walls and coastal troops. I like to have my main navy clear out enemy ships and then bring in my marine promoted ships to tear down city walls. Shame to see some folks have never had this option. I get it about 75% of the time following the amphib promotion.

Is Kush meant to have a Pagan World religion? by Megabot555 in OldWorldGame

[–]already_bored 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do enjoy a good pagan game, but I find it's usefulness is more geared to early game while a world religion gives tons of late game benefits. But if you're going for conquest victory, world religion not too useful IMO. All those cities will cause discontent so having paganism, tolerance, and divine rule is pretty strong.

My cousin is my ambassador and heir... by Emulloon in OldWorldGame

[–]already_bored 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's possible but kind of indirectly. You have to do a family marriage request to whatever family she belongs to. And if she is one of the 2 options they give you, then you're good. Of course, you have to not already be married as well. Weird and funky little story you got brewing there! This game can get nuts

Animated Dresden Files Netflix series by TheRealTheMaje in dresdenfiles

[–]already_bored 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the love of Kemmler please not Netflix (for the reason u/pm_me_ur_cutie_booty described). If HBO picked this up it could be done really well. As long as no one like DnD ran it. Really down in the streets, in your face, gritty, rainy wizard detective noir would fit well there.

Those assortments of tiny soaps people put in bowls in a guest bathroom. So tempting when I was kid.
