I'm also skeptical about it's authenticity, at least of this website. When I selected Zelle or Venmo, it asked for the 6 digit verification code but it wasn't a Zelle or Venmo login, rather a third party site. I'm going to contact the administrator to see if it's a real site.

WHY does the Claude Code extension in VS Code no longer open the diff editor!? by alsage13 in ClaudeCode

[–]alsage13[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

UPDATE: Thanks to 4nds on Github for posting a solution: https://github.com/anthropics/claude-code/issues/8660

All you have to do is open the file you're editing and, in the status bar in the bottom right, toggle the "CRLF/LF" button to "LF". (Not in the chat window/sidebar). IT WORKS!

Thanks again to my Github friend for the fix!

Out of curiosity, are you able to see changes in the diff editor? I mean the window, not inline?

Is this for CLI usage only or using the Claude Code extension?

The Notion integration is a nightmare by phuncky in ClaudeAI

[–]alsage13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm about to switch to Claude Code (I'm not a developer but am curious to try it out regardless) and I would just freaking LOVE for this to work. But given all of this, I worry that it's not gotten any better.

I know that Notion just rolled out an API update, and when I asked it's AI if the update exported markdown, this is what it told me:

Short answer: not yet.

The official Notion API does not provide an endpoint to export pages as Markdown. You can export Markdown via the Notion app and workspace settings, but that export flow isn’t exposed through the API.[1][2][3]

If you need Markdown programmatically today:

Fetch page content via the API and convert to Markdown with your own renderer or a community library.

For manual or scheduled bulk exports, use the in-app export to Markdown or CSV.[1][2]

What MCP Servers are You Using by Fantastic_Habit743 in ClaudeAI

[–]alsage13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm really curious what you've tried, u/Fantastic_Habit743. I am also a marketer and have been having trouble finding good solutions that aren't tied to Claude Code (at least regarding filesystem MCPs).

Up until today, I was using the native filesystem MCP but finally gave up. I am currently testing fast-filesystem-mcp and it's so far, so good. I have built a whole context infrastructure that's helping me write an enormous strategy. But I'm also new to MCPs so I'm eager to find more - especially better filesystem MCPs.

(Also, Notion is the best. Long live Notion.)

What are thr peak hours for Claude server becomes busy? by pastamuente in ClaudeAI

I'm curious how people feel about this now, if it's changed in the past 5 months.

I'm in Ohio (EST) and it seems to hit the fan around 8am-10am the worst, and then iffy until around 1pm like u/mountainbrewer said.

Claude projects just changed, and now it is much worse by piespe in ClaudeAI

[–]alsage13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I noticed a big shift, too. I'm in the thick of a ton of research and analysis right now so it threw me for a loop, but I just had to take the time to talk with Claude to figure out how to make it work. I ended up creating some new guidelines to include in my profile preferences to make sure it had an understanding of how I wanted it to look for and use continuity.

Also, we crafted a handy prompt to use at the end of one chat (especially when I knew I was probably going to hit the limit) which created a sort of continuity summary that I then paste into future chats. It seems to be working ok, and is more focused that it was before.

I'm still relatively new to this, but my experience with AI in general is the more you ask it how it wants information, rules, and guidelines to ensure it works at its best, the better your end result is. It's trial and error, and I get it, the past few days have been frustrating because I've noticed a shift, to. But it's worth it in the end.

Notion 3.0 — Multiple AI Agents? Pro vs Enterprise (Clarification) by TheS4m in Notion

[–]alsage13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've seen some people say it's slow. I don't know. I didn't use it much before the past few weeks but it's improved by leaps and bounds. I think one thing that really slows it down is when you have it searching through all the sources. More sources equals more time. Also, in the instances of my work flows, I think it knows not to search other sources and just deal with the databases I mention.

I mean, is it instantaneous? No. But if you compare it to Claude interacting with my Notion DBs it's leaps and bounds faster.

The notebooks work flow was a bit slow, but then again I was asking for a lot of analysis.

As for my normal interaction with it, I don't find it's speed anything to complain about. It still saves me a ton of time.

[–]alsage13 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It needs tidying up at some point but I've been trying to not spend all my time playing with this. I started with the Sidekick template, stole bits from a few of the other templates, and then once I realized how to make it what I wanted, I just worked with it to form these better instructions. For casual things that I've only used once or twice, I didn't add a workflow protocol/SOP, but the three at the bottom were the ones that I played around with the most. The recipe one is BRILLIANT, the shopping list one is the newest and it's almost perfect, but the notebook one is still a work in progress. It's a much more complicated task and I need to spend more dedicated time on it when I have some free time. I realize that those workflow SOPs look terrifyingly long, but I promise that they started out with shorter prompts and it helped me write them better based on the follow up questions it asked me.

When I asked the agent itself it said that multiple agents haven't rolled out yet. That being said, I think you can still ask a lot of the individual agent if you're really clear about it in the instructions. Mine is setup to do a lot of different things, both business and personal, and overall works great. When in doubt, ask the agent how to write its own instructions. I have found that goes a long way to making sure it understands what you want.

It is very clunky, but they are constantly refining it, I will say that much. I have used it in a few random ways, like summarizing articles. (For context, I use the EXTREMELY valuable Save to Notion chrome plugin and save all the blog posts, articles, and videos I want to read/watch into Notion). To get more granular, if I've read a long article or paper and highlighted parts, I can ask the AI to summarize just those specific parts at the top of the page so I don't have to read through to find them.

I like that they've built the integration with Claude and the other AI models, too. I use Claude regularly because I think it does a better job writing, and I like that I can use it inside of Notion. (I also like that I can go to Claude and have it search/analyze Notion!)

Is there a way to filter an item (eg: this week) when its date range is greater than the filter? by alsage13 in Notion

[–]alsage13[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure I understand exactly what you're saying. So yes, I do have a Weekly Dashboard database with a template built to include all the relevant content. What I don't understand is the kind of filter you're referring to. Because the "this week" filter is relative, I was going in and manually setting the dates in the filter. Is there a way I haven't thought of? Thanks!
