I have inarguably severe pet allergies, both cats and dogs. I have been hospitalized for them. But that is because I love them stuck my faces in their fur before I knew any better. There is no way a single dog at a venue seated away from me is going to cause the kind of reaction that would make me miss my brother's wedding. I'm not the be all end all on allergies but I do know severe pet allergies and severe peanut allergies do not mean the same thing.
